what about james kelly he is cheap and sure to bounce back from a slight rough patch of form

browny_wce

scotland gives u the best avg

elxam

i wouldnt trade him. u got cover! richmond to play w.c.e this week and with nason and webberley, u should at least wait one week. + the split round, so theres another week he has time to recover.

Wonder if anyone out there is considering bringing in Waters for Maguire?  The guy is playing unbelievably and loving every second of it.

Davoo

benching him for webberley. playing west coast and plays in the mids. then maguire will get a week off sometime because of split round so im not gonna be wasting a trade. expecially when you have cover. in the end your not losing many points and might even gain some!

Chappy35

I have the same dilemma,

My team as it stands

Goddard, Enright, Hodge, Malceski, Fisher, Waters, Maguire (Web, Nason)
Ablett, Bartel, Hayes, Swan, Barlow, Howlett (Jetta, Shuey)
Cox, Sandi (warnock, Bass)
Chappy, Brown, ROK, Byrnes, Brennan, SJ, Rockliff (watts, hitchcock)

I am thinking Jetta or Howlett to Gysberts and Maguire to Gilbert or Carazzo or Kelly.

I have 9 trades and 140k in the bank

I think i want Gilbert but he didnt do so well against Freo last time around so maybe wait one week...

Good team.  I glad to hear you have found some success!
I'm not doing too bad either, and IMO having 3 saints in your backline isn't a disaster.  They share the ball massively in the backline to average decent scores.  the odds of them being injured at the same time is less likely, and gilbert is a young fit guy.  Not that scotland isn't.. but he did have a niggle the other week.
They will be decent i'd imagine, but I'm just saying I wouldn't worry entirely about not having 3 saints.  Eg. If one has a bad week, usually another one has a good one.  Balancing out.  Unless the ball just never goes into their defence, leaving the possessions a little slim.  anyway food for thought.

Saints also play adelaide, north and richmond in the last 3 rounds if that helps.

Davoo - you have me thinking, sitting tight might be the best option .  All the backs i am after have high breakevens and you never know what will happen during the split round. injuries, Club suspensions all that. I will still do the Gysberts trade. Which will set me up for the second half of the season.

8 Trades and 300k in the bank.

Then i can do a double upgrade in like rd 14 or 15 say
Goose > Scotland
Howlett > Montagna

Flame

I am a fan of Gilbert..

And Here Is What It Says For Maguire:

"defender Matt Maguire up to a month"

"while Maguire was on and off the ground throughout the evening"

"An MRI scan has since revealed that the former Saint has tendonitis in his left foot which will require him to rest for 2-4 weeks"

Cheers Q, looks like i will have to pop him on the bench for a while  :P

Team:
Goddard, hodge, Scotland, carrazzo, enright, waters, goose (webberley, hams)

Gaj, swan, montagna, barlow, Mitchell, ball (Martin, Stevenson)

Sandi, nicnat (trengove, warnock)

Stevie J, didak, brown, Harvey, pods, ROK, buddy (fyfe, Stewart)

traded hard, only 7 left and 43k

do I upgrade goose? Was planning on this, tho later ideally. Can go sideways to grimes, or maybe cash in martin/Stevenson for gysberts and upgrade to Gilbert or something.

Or do I sit on my trades, play webberly and upgrade later?

cousins32

play webberly man and wait someone will come down soon
