Round 13

Team should look like this with 13 trades left unless injuries hamper my plans!

Mids: Ablett, Pendles, Cotchin, JPK, Jelwood, Priddis, Watson, Swan (Hrovat, Crouch)

Will then look to bring staker to the forward line and upgrade Dwyer to back premo.

Suggestions and opinions?

cheers!

Southstorm

Will be a great end result if everything goes well! How's Gorringe's JS?

Ringo

May need to reasses slightly given Blicavs form and potential for further price rises, Prefer Nicholls over Gorringe as well.

Watch possible injury to Swan.

Would also look at Berger to Minson Round 12 after the bye.

#3
Had a horrid round and suffered my first loss of the season thanks to Hanley, Selwood and Watson. Terlich was my only way of getting in Staker and in the end I'm glad I went Jones > Watson. Saved me some money and points.

With Blicavs doing well I won't be trading him at all now I don't think. Will even give Nicholls a miss.

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Hanley, Goodes, Staker, Thurlow (Laird, Brown)
Mids: Ablett, Watson, Pendles, Cotchin, JPK, Jelwood, Priddis, O'Meara (Lonergan, Crouch)
Rucks: Cox, Berger (Blicavs, Currie)
Fwds: Buddy, Rockliff, Kennedy, Zorko, Martin, Johnson (Dwyer, Macaffer)

18 trades left. $54,200 in the bank going for league win

Trade Plans

Round 11
O'meara > Mitchell

Round 12
Lonergan > Hrovat
Brown > Birchall
Berger > Minson

Round 13

Team should look like this with 14 trades left unless injuries hamper my plans!

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Hanley, Birchall, Goodes, Staker (Thurlow, Laird)
Mids: Ablett, Pendles, Cotchin, JPK, Jelwood, Priddis, Watson, Mitchell (Hrovat, Crouch)
Rucks: Cox, Minson (Blicavs, Currie)
Fwds: Buddy, Rockliff, Kennedy, Zorko, Martin, Johnson (Dwyer, Macaffer)

Will then look to bring staker to the forward line and upgrade Dwyer to back premo.

Looks good and sound Team with 14 trades left and 3 upgrades (assuming Goodes runs out of puff but if not 2 ) required - One in Mids and one in Backs.  Then you can start looking at strengthening your benches and I would look at trying to get a DPP in mids on bench for flexibility.

Mat0369

Yeah I also like it. The backs have not been great this year with consistency so it is best to hold off until last upgrading there. Are you tempted at all to trade Blicavs or Currie to one of the GC rucks to get some insurance?

woofy

Thanks for your opinions. Yeah backline is definitely very hard to nail this year. I'm quite happy I started with Hanley this year after having to make a decision between him, Hartlett, Duffield and Grimes. If I have the trades later on I'm toying with the idea of trading Blicavs to Mcbean and upgrading somebody in the forward line to Nic Nat.

woofy

With Brown and Blicavs out I will be left to field 16 players leaving me with 2 donuts against my opponent this week. Should I go against my plan of just using 1 trade or use 3 to get 18 players on field? ATM I'm currently sitting on top of the ladder a game clear of second place. Even though I field 18 players its no guarantee I will win this week.

Trades would be:

O'meara > Mitchell
Blicavs > Nicholls
Dwyer > Nic Nat

So.... should I trade or stick to my trade plans?

Ringo

Go with Gutt Woofy - If using the extra trades assists in getting finalised team then go for it but if trading just to avoid a donut would not do.  Long term plans best.  Using myself I was not planning on 3 trades this week but with Brown being injured was left with 17 players, I had planned to bring Gibbs into my back line in Round 14 but because of Browns injury brought the trade forward to this week.  Hope that explains the difference in the 2 strategies as Gibbs was to be in my final team.

woofy

ok Ringo good call. By doing these trades it's more a quick fix I guess for this round. It would give me an extra keeper in Zorko on the bench which is not really needed ATM as my backline and midfield are yet to be completed. I would brought some of my upgrade trades forward but Minson and Birchall have thier bye this round. Oh wells stick to my original plan and hope for a miracle win!

woofy

Really bad round for me only scoring 1678. Expected it with only fielding 16 players then 15 with JJK out. Dropped 4k spots haha oh wells. Plan to hit back hard with the following trades this week.

Blicavs > Nicholls
Berger > Minson
Lonergan > Swan

then next week

Dywer > Oxley?
Brown > Birchall

Pre round 14 team with 12 trades left

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Hanley, Birchall, Goodes, Staker (Thurlow, Laird)
Mids: Ablett, Pendles, Cotchin, JPK, Jelwood, Priddis, Watson, Swan (Mitchell, Crouch)
Rucks: Cox, Minson (Nicholls, Currie)
Fwds: Buddy, Rockliff, Kennedy, Zorko, Martin, Johnson (Oxley, Macaffer)

Not sure on the Dwyer > Oxley trade but I need to downgrade somebody to do the Brown > Birchall trade. Thoughts????

woofy

Didn't do to bad this week but still dropped about 1k places. Ranked just under 10k now :( Hopefully I can start climbing back up the ladder and finish strong. Really glad Berger ended up playing and scoring better than Minson. It allows me to bring in Birchall with one trade. This weeks trade will be...

Laird > Birchall

then next week

Dwyer > Daniher
Macaffer > Shaw via Staker

Pre round 15 team with 12 trades left

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Hanley, Birchall, Shaw, Goodes (Brown, Thurlow)
Mids: Ablett, Pendles, Cotchin, JPK, Jelwood, Priddis, Watson, Swan (Mitchell, Crouch)
Rucks: Cox, Berger (Nicholls, Currie)
Fwds: Buddy, Rockliff, Kennedy, Zorko, Martin, Johnson (Staker, Daniher)

Will probably sit tight on trades for a while unless there are LTI. Will look at bringing Walker, Nic Nat as luxury trades and to also upgrade Thurlow to not sure who yet in the future.

Thoughts/opinions are most welcome!

roti

thats a ripper team, goodes, priddis and jjk only ones you might consider upgrading a bit, youll definitely rise up the rankings with that though

woofy

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Hanley, Heppell, Shaw, Goodes (Birchall, Clisby)
Mids: Ablett, Pendles, Cotchin, JPK, Jelwood, Priddis, Swan, T.Mitchell (Watson, Crouch)
Rucks: Cox, Berger (Nicholls, Currie)
Fwds: Buddy, Rockliff, Kennedy, Zorko, Martin, Johnson (Staker, Oxley)

10 trades left with about $70k in the bank

Massive round with a score of 2517 this week. Ranked around 7k but have always gone for league win. Have been fortunate to be in a position where I don't need to trade playing against weaker opponents but I still have Birchall and Watson sitting on my bench. I am still keeping them there until I face stronger teams. I have the following ideas and would love to hear some opinions and feedback...

Round 17

Zorko > McBean

Round 18

Nicholls > Minson/Goldstein

Round 19

Watson > Griffen/Barlow
Birchall > Roughead/Walker/Bartel

Team pre 1st week finals

Backs: Goddard, Gibbs, Hanley, Heppell, Shaw, Goodes (Staker, Clisby)
Mids: Ablett, Pendles, Cotchin, JPK, Jelwood, Priddis, Swan, Barlow/Griffen (T.Mitchell, Crouch)
Rucks: Goldy/Minson, Berger (McBean, Currie)
Fwds: Cox, Roughead/Walker/Bartel, Rockliff, Kennedy, Martin, Johnson (Buddy, Oxley)

6 trades left

Thanks!

Vinny
