Lets have them folks. I have one which is rule No 1 for office tipping comps - "You dont have to get 9 every week you just need more than anyone else". What others do you guys have? (ie wet weather footy, day breaks, interstate teams, etc.)

Never, ever change your initial tips ::) I've done it 5 times this year and yep, you guessed it, all 5 went from the winning team to the losing team....

watch as many games as you can

think about each teams game plan vs the others

watch out for who has come out of the teams or come in

and yeah like you said "(ie wet weather footy, day breaks, interstate teams, etc.)"

read some articles the club and or it's players have released that week

lots of things i keep an eye on

I tipped Collingwood by 14 tonight.
Basically I was thinking that the Swans' hoodoo might not be totally broken yet, plus ith our backline woes (Shaw, AJ, LRT out) and Collingwood's great win against Geelong.

Boy, I'm glad I was wrong though.

Lesson: It's not bad to tip against your team. Then there's always a silver lining  ;D

I tipped the Pies by 7 for pretty much the same reason. Wanted to tip the Swans but just didn't have it in me. Should have gone with my gut.  :(

I've done that a few times too.. like West Coast vs Hawthorn I initially tipped the Hawks then changed to the Eagles :(

When i heard that the Swans hadn't gone 3 matches in a row without winning since 2003, i wanted to change my tip, but didn't because of my previous record. Just my luck hey?

Also, i have some sort of curse on St. Kilda matches. 3/9 from Saints matches this season, only three being when the Crows, Bombers and Swans beat them. :(

I've noticed many teams win on the milestone matches for big players this season. Just the ones i can remember: Kane Cornes, Stevie J + Corey Enright, Darren Glass, Jarrad McVeigh all got wins on their milestone matches.

So this persuaded me to tip St. Kilda this week, coz Joey is playing a milestone match :D Although Daniel Wells and Brent Harvey are also playing their milestone matches. So, as was mentioned already here:

Well to me North has been one of the best teams in the comp besides those last quarters where they give up these huge leads. They should be top 4 right now. I feel sorry for them, 4, 3, 2 and now a 1 point loss. I guess that means a draw comes next for them?
A draw against the Saints that may well be the end of me haha
could there be a draw this week? :P
