Tossing up between Kennelly and Waters for one of my last back spots already hav malceski and hunt. I rkn waters has more upside than Kennelly as Kennelly has never had a great dt ave but he is guaranteed a spot in swans 22 whereas I'm not sure that Waters is...

Thorts??

Yeh I currently hav Kennelly as well but waters
was able to get 51 with limited TOG and not playing a senior game in 18months big risk but..

saber05

yeah, its a difficult one

yeah but kennelly is way more durable than waters. waters hasn't played a full season and is very very injury prone.

kennelly if you want to play it safe. waters more risky imo.

Problems

Kennelly: Left AFL at the end of the 2008 season as he lost love for the game not because of injury. Didn't play in 2009 because he wasn't contracted. I think his form finding himself back in the team will be biggest problem in 2010.

Waters: Hasn't played since Round 10 of 2008 because of injury. Didn't play in 2009 because of injury. Form, consitency, durability and finding his place in the team will be his biggest problems in 2010.
Waters only scored 51 against Pt Adel because he was put in the forward lines as he wasn't effective elsewhere - don't think he'd get that role in the real season.

Both will make money during the year (if both can stay fit), I don't think either are keepers for a season though. Go with Kennelly unless you're a gambler. There aren't many rookies to fall back on if Waters goes down early. And if he's $158,000 I think I'd rather Sheppard (at $135K) from the Eagles anyway.
