People's thoughts on wether he will be a top 8 midfielder this season ?? Need a round 12 bye player desperately and there isn't much talent out there and I don't want kieran jack. Tempted to get Scott as he has gws also. Thoughts ??

Won't be top 8. He had a few good games against relatively shower opposition- his 5 100s this season coming against mostly rubbish sides in Melbourne, Carlton, Port, Bulldogs and Brisbane. Eagles have had an easy start to the season (only two clear-cut top 8 sides) yet Scooter has only averaged 105. Should avg 100 but that won't be enough for top 8. Probably. Is prone to tagging roles (on Wells 71 last week, on Fyfe 71 round 1) and until eagles can get a real go-to-tagger he won't be that much of a viable fantasy option.

Edit: He's also prone to being a ducking cheat too.

i'm not an essendon supporter and i'm not extremely well read on the whole essendon drug scandal (mainly cos i find it boring), but u'd have to be extremely naive to believe that most of the other clubs wouldn't be pushing the boundaries of sports science as well - the whole issue to me has been a media frenzy and a tornado in a teacup

I badly need a round 12 mid because i currently have round 11 and 13s. cant afford to bring in another 12-13. I already have jobe which is what everyone is doing this week, kieran jack doesnt excite me and i was thinking possibly montagna. Scooter is expensive but him playing GWS which he had a 150 last year makes me wanna just fork out the cash.

Don't want Jack? How come? Has been super reliable. Scooter & Jack probably won't be top 8 but both will go close. I've taken Jack.

Some reason i am just not that keen on him. not a huge fan of sydney or jack, nothing against his dt ability i should just use the numbers but i am just not feeling him haha.

Hard to split Jack and Selwood...

Based on gut I would go Selwood but I have a feeling that Jack might avg higher across the journey.

yeah i reckon Selwood will and his 150 against GWS last year just has me torn haha. thinking maybe Fyfe too but i dont see him scoring as highly. one thing i am sceptical about scott selwood is the fact he relies on his tackles to get a high score, similair to jack aswell, relying on tackles isnt something i like in a dream teamer

Jack has been a ripper pick this season for mine. Super consistent & Sydney are yet to hit their straps.

Fyfe will cop the tag... Selwood's BE is quite high this week, you could wait for him to come down in price.

Picked up scooter four weeks ago and happy with the results so far.  Hasn't been in any really hard tagging role that I could see.
He's a good unique and, let's face it, he's not GAZ but he'll do the job for you more often than not.  Don't care if he buckles at the knees, they're all doing it now.
