Goddard, Gibbs, Hanley, Heppell, Goodes, Vlastuin  (Terlich, Pittard)

Gablett, Pendlebury, JPK, Cotchin, M.Murphy, O'Meara, M.Jones, Lonergan  (Viney, Crouch)

McEvoy, Leuenberger  (Blicavs, Currie)

Cox, D.Martin, Rockliff, Bartel, JJK, Mayes  (Macaffer, Rowe)

22 trades and $99,500 remaining

alright let me start out by saying that even though i will be missing out on a couple of blokes,  i'm keeping all of Pittard, Viney and Crouch as that is what my gut tells me. gotta listen to it.

so the main trade i have come up with is Mayes -> Staker.
Mayes will more than likely lose cash this week so i don't mind bringing in Staker a week early

next trade, i'm torn between 2, and this is where i need some advice/opinions.

basically;
Macaffer -> Buddy with $70,100 remaining
or
M.Jones -> anyone under $595,100

the main guy i'm looking at is Watson. lucky for me i'm playing a bloke that is averaging just over 1400 a week in round 13. i'll still beat him without breaking a sweat.
J.Selwood is the other main guy i'm looking at.

at the moment i'm ranked 255, doesn't reaally worry me if that blows out a little bit by keeping all the blokes on my bench that aren't playing.  i figure i'm not gonna win overall anyway so league is the main focus. would still like to finish relatively high though.

would really appreciate your input/help guys, and thanks for reading!

cheers :)

If Mayes plays a full game chances are he will get close to his B/e so there may not be much of a fall.

You would have seen all the threads on the Round 13 byes so if comfortable with bringing in Selwood for Jones I would do this.  Do you have to trade this week really as you could do the same trade next week as Selwood may fall further. However if you have other trades planned for next week then go ahead,

You are in a reasonably strong position with 22 trades left.

thanks Ringo

i've had another think about it, and maybe getting in Thurlow would be more beneficial to me. there's not really too many other 'good' rookies coming through (none that come to mind anyway)

if i went Pittard -> Thurlow, i'd still be able to go M.Jones -> Selwood (10k short of Watson)

if i went Goodes -> Thurlow i'd be able to afford anyone, but would be getting rid of Goodes early (which i don't really wanna do)

but if i did that, i'd have to hope like hell Mayes gets a full game :-\

any more advice on the new plan please mate?

Ringo

Go with gut on Goodes has a B/E 30 below  average so may be nearing ceiling.

Thurlow is probably a must for you as a downgrade option. Just need to decide which mid you wish to bring in.

From left field if you went Goodes to Thurlow how about Mayes to Roughead performing much better than Buddy and suits you bye structure. Would you still enough for this if you went  Pittard to Thurlow?

Bill Manspeaker

haven't been able to get on until now. lucky i finalized my trades before. ended up going Pittard to Thurlow and Jones to Selwood.
thanks for your help mate

Bill Manspeaker

one thing i forgot to do was put Macaffer on the field for Mayes :-[

Do not suspect Mayes will be sub - He may get the red though as Green has Green written all over it.

Is your other emergency playing or not and assuming Caff is your emergency can you swap them so that you gain Caffs score,

Bill Manspeaker

of course! how did i not see that. thanks for pointing that out mate.

now the question is should i do it? can't ask for much more than 79, so i think i'll take Caff.

cheers mate
