Bounced off Mummy like a golf ball hitting a wall lol. Brave but silly reminded me of StevieJ doing the same to big Sandi, same result.

AFL Tribunal ‏@AFLTribunal 2h

No tribunal tonight after Ed Curnow accepted his $1950 sanction for umpire contact, and no incidents to review from yesterday's game.

QuoteKurt Tippett has revealed it was the bout of concussions which sidelined him for four games towards the end of last season which prompted him to evaluate his life and led to his decision to join Sydney Swans.

Now i dont know what to believe

T Dog

"The documentary offers a glimpse of Tippett's new life - his morning walks along Bondi Beach, cafe visits with housemate Daniel Hannebery and coaching role in the Swans' under-age academy system."

I believe some highly paid spin doctors have been working up a step by step reintroduction of Tippett to the footy world... ???

SydneyRox

its a good idea, through his own fault and that of adelaide he became the poster boy for some horrible off season stuff.

At his best he should be a good marketing/promo person for the Swans and AFL

he left the ground didn't he and collected him high, breaking his cheek bone... JZ would have gotten 8 for that, out clause or not.

mumfords manager makes a good point, if mumford had done that to petrenko, he would have copped so much shower for that.

as for the tippett thing... that's basically what I've been saying all along: I don't know why he left, but even if it was for the money, I don't see why any reasonable person would be-grudge him that. Footballers have a limited shelf life, and one concussion prone may even have a shorter one.

roo boys!

Agreed entirely Zip, Mumford misses a month of footy and no-one bats an eyelid cos the bloke that hit hit was little and got injured himself? Nice logic there

Nige

The worst bit about this all is they're both Cairo boys in WXVs. :'(

But seriously, it's pretty bad. Mummy's shelved for 4 weeks, Petrenko for 3.

Also, I do agree with everything Zip said, especially about the Ziebell bit.

Ziplock

I honestly think that petrenko leaving the ground means that the head contact should be classified as reckless rather than necessarily accidental.

For me that was reckless, high contact and either high impact or severe impact, which is a level 4-5 bumping offence that should have been 5-7 weeks.

Nige

They always make a fuss about leaving the ground when making a hit and when it happens in a clash that leaves someone out for 4 with a broken cheek nothing gets done. Seems a bit odd.  :-X
