Bill Barnwell @billbarnwell

When Michael Jordan got sick the game BEFORE the flu game, he asked out of the lineup in a 78-73 Jazz Finals win

Also, if TD wins, wonder where it puts him on the all time list.

Wouldn't say it changes too much. I'd still have him 8th.

Being the best player on a team for like 13 seasons straight while reaching the playoffs every year + 6(?) finals appearances, 4 rings is pretty legit.

But who can he overtake? LBJ? Russell? Shaq? Kareem? Bird?

Maybe Russell and Lebron.

Andrew3747

I think he is coming close to Bird/Russell. If you could take one of their careers, it would prob be Timmay if he wins. Peak I still think Bird> almost everyone bar Shaq/LBJ/MJ.

He certainly goes higher then LBJ if he wins. In fact, I've already got him above LeBron  :-X

How can you say Duncan is better than LeBron? Especially considering you've seen both play in your lifetime.

I'm talking if they both retired right now, I'd have Duncan above LeBron in my top 10. Simply due to his longevity and the amount of success he's consistently brought to San Antonio.

Come on Jay you can't be serious!

if lebron retired right now, even I would have to put duncan ahead of him. Duncan for me has done the most of any active player and is the number 1 in his position. 99% chance that Lebron will be better once you compare careers when he retires but if Duncan gets his 5th ring I have to put him above Lebron at present.

If Lebron gets his 3rd to Duncans 4 than he overtakes him.

Andrew3747

The flower.... We all know the rings argument is flawed. Lbj has being doing things only MJ has done. Numbers dont lie. LBJ is closer to 2nd than he is closer to 5th or 6th. I wou,dnt even blink an eye if someone put him as number 2.
