I can't understand why Doc would leave though. Understand KG & PP though.

ideally they want to be easily top 4 or out of it so the franchise doesnt suffer long term...

We didn't get a fair shot at it last year. Had a good record with a Rondo + Bradley backcourt, but unfortunately that did not last long! And we have also found a diamond in Jeff Green who will be a 20ppg player from now on, he needs to start!

The only players I want gone are Bass,Terry and Lee. Get rid of those 3 for one solid player and we are set for another run. We also have our highest draft pick since the one we traded for Ray Allen - the guy we pick needs to be able to make an instant impact. Either a centre or backup pg for me... I think we'll take a backup PG.

I am unsure whether Pierce starts or not :-\

PG: Rondo
SG: Bradley
SF: Green/Pierce
PF: Sullinger/Green
C: Garnett

I want Green starting, so it comes down to whether we go really small (Green at PF) and start Pierce or go more conventional and have Green + Sully starting.

Honestly, I like what Sully brings as a rebounder. He deserves to start. Is that unfair to Pierce? Of course I want him out there at the death though...

tbh i think it is Bradley who loses the minutes, in certain games he will take bigger minutes to hold down a dominant player but when they r playing a team like BKN, CHI, TOR,DET etc his minutes will suffer... Rondo,PP,Green,Sully/Garnett

That is a fair call. But Pierce didn't exactly flourish when playing as a SG in the playoffs?

ino but ya have to move him on if ur getting better production out of a smaller contract younger player...

As you say it depends on the situation and whether the opposition beats you with their backcourt or frontcourt.

We know Pierce is better on offense however we also know that Bradley imo the best guard defender in the league, but most 'normal' people have him definitely in their top few! ;)

I trust Doc though, he'll make the right moves. Just hoping we wait a year for the rebuild.

So after recent speculation a deal was very close between C's and LA, it has once again been halted. The Clippers will not trade for Lee or Terry, and the only way Boston does this trade is if the Clippers either give up Bledsoe, or take Lee or Terry.

Ainge SHOULD NOT back down from this, would be super to get either Lee or Terry off our books and Bledsoe is a talented young backup to Rajon Rondo.

In other news, AI has been accused of kidnapping his 5 children :o

Celtics and Clipps have re-opened trade talks.

A deal will be done this time around.

http://www.celticslife.com/2013/06/clippers-to-give-up-two-first-rounders.html

Boston get: Deandre Jordan + 2 first round picks (likely to be in the 20s)
Clippers get: Doc Rivers + Kevin Garnett

Although I do think that Boston get some positives out of this deal, the positives the Clippers get totally outweigh what we get. Not a bad trade from our end, but Clipps benefit way too much. They are probably the team to beat in the West now with one of the best coaches in the league and now one of the best defenders than can hit the 18-footer (opening the paint up for Griffin and CP3)

If I was Danny Ainge I would force either Bledsoe to be included or make LA take on the contract of either Lee or Terry. We have all the leverage in this trade, the Clipps need it more than us yet Ainge is not using this to his advantage.

Needs to stay firm on either getting Bledsoe or getting Lee/Terry off the books to make it a decent trade. Otherwise it will be the showertest trade for a franchise since OKC trading Harden.
