Was expecting it to be the other way around

roo boys!

Good news for Hartlett, a little surprised with Clarke only getting 1 tbh!

Ringo

Must admit I am a bit surprised with Clarkes 1 week was expecting 2. Did not think Merrett grabbed in high for the high contact but if they say so then can not argue. Bad record probably cost him a weeks reduction.

Frozensage

did they clear harlett of being a burn man?

GoLions

Yeah, bad record cost Merrett a week: "He has an existing bad record of 93.75 demerit points carried over from within the last 12 months, increasing the penalty to 418.75 points and a four-match sanction. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to 314.06 points and a three-match sanction."

Was also surprised at Clarke only getting one with the early plee.

QuoteJustin Clarke, Brisbane Lions, has been charged with a level two charging offence (225 demerit points, two match sanction) for charging Elliott Kavanagh, Essendon, during the first quarter of the Round Eight match between the Brisbane Lions and Essendon, played at Etihad Stadium on Saturday May 18, 2013.

In summary, he can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the Essendon Football Club, the incident was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), medium impact (two points) and body contact (one point). This is a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a level two offence, drawing 225 demerit points and a two-match sanction. He has no existing good or bad record. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to 168.75 demerit points and a one-match sanction.
Medium Impact?!?!?!?! Really!

Your kidding right?

Softest punch ever in the history of punches was a slight jumper punch and Murph fell down like the soft bugger he is.

Is there a link to the footage anywhere? I've only seen it once but I think he could've got a week.

Thats the incident involving Hartlett and Murph
The punch didn't have too much in it, but the elbow to the head was stupid.
