Fremantle forward Michael Walters will miss the next four weeks after injuring his left ankle in Saturday night

QuoteScan results have today confirmed that the 22-year-old suffered a high ankle or syndesmotic ankle sprain.

Terrible news.

Not good news for sure, but now opens the door for someone else to step up and show they can play at the AFL level as well.
A huge chance for some one to show their wares.

I'm thinking Pitt or Crozier will come in

TeeJay

Freo have been bloody brave with so many injuries but their ability to kick goals is being hurt more and more every week. Putting so much pressure on the defence to stand up

Crozier will come in (even though he technically was in before his late ommission).  Michie or Mellington would get a call up before Pitt IMO but Crozier is a lock.  Mzungu could be in trouble again - pretty ordinary game from him.

Teejay - are you on crack?  We had 10 more scoring shots than Sydney on the weekend.  We just couldnt kick straight.

Ricochet

Would love to see Michie get a go actually

I wasn't just talking about on the weekend. I meant after pav went down I wondered where port would get goals, then Bradley went down as well, luckily Walters has really been standing up but now he's gone as well... Mayne and Ballantyne the only 2 really capable of getting on the end of multiple goals now. It's running thin

It certainly wont be Pitt. He has not been at the club since almost the beginning of the season. He has a heart problem and is not playing football at all.He is back home with his family.
I am not sure how Mellington is going but he sure did look good in the games I have seen him play at this level. How is his WAFL form.

Oh of course, completely forgot about that. Mellington's form hasn't been too bad for West Perth actually

Round 4: 11.10 (21 scoring shots) vs 18.10 (28 scoring shots) --- Lost to Hawthorn
Round 5: 12.9 (21 scoring shots) vs 12.8 (20 scoring shorts) -- Defeated Richmond
Round 6: 15.9 (24 scoring shots) vs 7.12 (19 scoring shots) -- Defeated Gold Coast
Round 7: 15.10 (25 scoring shots) vs 10.13 (23 scoring shots) -- Defeated Collingwood
Round 8: 9.16 (25 scoring shots) vs 11.4 (15 scoring shots) -- Lost to Sydney

We have had plenty of scoring opportunities since Pav hasnt played in Round 3.  We were just terrible at conversion on the weekend.  If we had of kicked straight then we would have won.
