Obviously played average opposition but are we finally getting back to our form of last year? Thought?

Noz

I don't think so your forward line still needs a lot of work you have scored well against 2 teams with poor defence in GWS and St Kilda.

The next 2 weeks is huge for you guys as you face North Melbourne, Fremantle and Sydney. After than you should be able to judge just how well you guys are going.

Maybe not back as a top two like last year, back as a club and young team performing well enough to win a final or two? Yes!

PowerBug

Only saying this because you told us the same thing. Look at the sides you've beaten. Combined total of 6 wins for the season. As Noz said the month will say alot. It'll be difficult to make the eight as by my predictions you'll need 13 wins for 8th spot this season.

13 wins?

top spot only seems to get 17-18 wins so you think only 4 games will separate the top 8?

JBs-Hawks

Seeing as hawks have beaten 6 out of the 7 finalists already, top spot might just get 20 wins this year ;)

2012 8th had 14 wins
2011 8th had 11 (albeit, no GWS)
2010 8th had 11 (no GC)
2009 8th had 10

I reckon around 12 wins would be about right this year

and honestly scanning through your remaining draw, the only certainties I can see are melb/ wbd.

I reckon you'll finish with about 10-11 wins

could be wrong though :P

Starting to play better but not near our best. Our fwd line will be a huge concern against stronger clubs unless the likes of Lynch Jenkins who have been good against lesser opponents can keep progressing, Porpz and Callinan out of form need to lift big time, McKernan isnt of any use imo. As i see it  its going to be a monumental effort to see a final asking so much from what we have available. I just hope it fast tracks the list a bit in particular our fwds, find out who can and cant cut it. I shat meself when jenkins knee wobbled on the weekend, looked like Tex's all over again, think i was in shock until he actually got up lol. 12-13 wins would be a great result, can we i dont know big ask im feeling.

Hagebear

Yeh our forward line is my biggest concern. I think JJ and Lynch can do a solid enough job but we need or midfield to keep contributing on the scoreboard. I think Danger's (goal scoring) output will be our big X factor to how far we can make it.

Cic, the way i see it is this. There are 6 clubs at the bottom that really don't look like beating many sides above them, and after going through the fixtures, and giving them added wins against other clubs, i have them combining for 38 wins. This means that 12 clubs need to share 160 wins, as there's 198 in a season. If you have the top clubs on 18 wins, then for sure 13 will be needed for 8th spot. I had Geelong and Hawthorn only losing 5 between them originally. (btw this isn't using the ladder predictor i just sorted the clubs into groups and gave each group x wins each)
