Looking forward to this game. Always a good game to watch as a neutral  :)
Not tonight.
Might be the dullest game of football I have watched all year. Both teams seemed tentative. :(

The major victory to come out of tonight is Nigel gets to have the Derp as his DP for the next week. :))

Nige

Yep, copping the DP change for my/our loss.

Some players played well, very few though. Chaplin was good, Newman was good, also though Robbie Nahas played very well. A lot of casual efforts, just weren't good enough.

Really terrible last night. Terrible game all together really.
Our back 6 were great, to keep Essendon to 12 goals with the amount of inside 50s they had was a good effort.
Apart from that though we were pathetic.. The centre clearances were just embarrassing. How Watson and Stanton were left to stand alone at every centre bounce was just crazy, Martin was left at full forward for far to much of the game and I don't want to see lonergan ever wear a Richmond jumper again.
Another big build up and big let down. Some changes need to be made.
Give Aaron Edwards a bloody game!
Get Matty white on for a whole game! He was the only one willing to take a risk and break the lines.
Teach our blokes how to lay a tackle that actually sticks!
And if things are going wrong then change the damn game plan. It was clearly not working trying to chip it around and play loose on their on ballers. You need to actually know how to kick and win the hit outs to do those things.

Very frustrated. Worst we have played all year

Toga

Yeah agreed quinny and Sid - a pretty insipid game last night from both teams, although Essendon clearly played better.

Sam Lonergan at least hit the packs hard, but was pretty ineffective otherwise. I am sick and tired of watching Jake Batchelor watch his opponent mark it and then try and contest, or not even bothering to try and contest.

McGuane started the season well but one of him and Vickery should be rested next week to see how Aaron Edwards can go in the big league. He has earnt his stripes imo.

Deledio's injury was disappointing, it obviously affected him for the majority of the match, and missing both his and Brandon Ellis' outside run obviously affected our ball movement.

Toga

Oh, and I was very impressed with how Vlastuin played last night again. Very impressed.

Agree Quinny.
Was disappointed by last nights effort, we were simply out classed.
They destroyed us in the midfield and Watson, Stanton and Goddard were a class above us.
Rancey, Chappy and Newy were good down back.
Dusty didn't seem to be himself, he kicked 1.4.
Edwards needs to come in, we need another forward target.

Nige

Az to come in, Arnot to replace Lonners. Make it happen Tiges.  >:(
