Where is TJ now  :o  And I could be a crows supporter :o

Yeah I tipped Port to play Geelong next week ;)  Those who saw it know I did ;)

So happy about todays results! Makes footy worth watching! Oh and flower you Eddie ;D
hahahaha on your profile it states your an Adelaide supporter so it is pretty much a tacit point & your picture is of Rory Laird

it's good to see the other Adelaide club supporters cheering for the Power in the finals, South Australian supporters should still never forget that our brand of football is unique & more entertaining then that of the other states (I love WA footy 2nd). We should support one another in finals & the rivalry should only be full blown when we're both in the finals  ;)

What exactly did McGuire do? I already think he's a d**khead but did he say anything that was questionable in the lead up/after the game? :) (Just inquiring)

Don't worry just read it, firstly McGuire shouldn't be such a narcissist. There are other sports besides AFL and they all deserve equal regard depending on what the people want and I think that obviously if it was scheduled people want to watch the Rugby Test match (I personally hate rugby like McGuire's opinion it doesn't mean shower)

The thing that pisses me off is he just assumed Collingwood (a falling team I might add) would be so certain to beat Port Adelaide that he could make these statements as if it was preordain. The a**hole also made the same assumptions that the Dockers would lose (I'm tipping the Dockers to win their first premiership this year (long shot I know but they really do deserve it). Well it's safe to say he has been 100% incorrect in both his call this week. I don't understand why Collingwood made him the president? Is it just because of his net worth?

I say let the bitter doubters keep doubting.

It shows more about them than it does Port.

After the pain of the last 5 years, this season Port have rewarded those 16,000 supporters who were there every week who watching them getting flogged. I stood by them every week, as much as it hurt listening to everyone shoot them down. Now I'm standing pretty proud as a Port supporter. Even prouder than 2004. We have a brilliant future ahead. Players will want to play for Port, be traded to Port. People want to watch their football.

Here's to the next 6 years...

+1 Cheers to that, GF 2004 was easily one of the happiest days of my life, I still remember being a little kid feeling euphoric after the win (I would have only been about 8 years old), the 07 gf was easily the angriest I've ever been in my life but the future is looking bright again. This couldn't have been done without Hinkley. If you asked me a year ago that axing Pearce, Chaplin, Rodan, Surjan et al would make the club improve I would laugh (only Pearce & Surjan were real good player as well, Rodan was an X-factor but we had dropped so low that they seemed to be the only way out). The man is a genius, always composed & has completely changed the mentality of the players so they "never surrender"  :D I think he'll be greater than Mark Williams

Port beating all the top team this year, they fully deserve their semi final, Cats could be very beatable also! Tired bunch!

I know a few people who like both clubs, nothing wrong with state pride when your team is out!

I adopted Freo last season when they were looking good! They have become my team away from home :D Just need Port to nock off an over confident Hawks they way we almost did in the Prelim! Could happen!

Hey Tbag how about throwing your support for the blues.

Anyone can dream but what if the blues show the last half form and confidence into next weeks game and it comes off. The following week would then be Freo in Perth and Carlton love Pattersons anything could happen. The Grand Final at the "G" and  if the blues pull it off it would be the biggest come from nowhere win even better that Steven Bradbury's Gold Medal.

Lets re-count, Sunday Evening on the 25th August Carlton are 2 games out of eight with one game to play. Season over oh hang on Tuesday 27th August Essendon lose points. On the 31st of August Carlton beat Port by a point to make the eight after being done and dusted by half time. On the 8th September Carlton have a similar game to the Port game down and out at half time and storm home.

Cmon Tbag support the underdog or the little dog snapping at your heals and won't go away.

Haha sorry guys I haven't been in here for a few weeks but yep I was wrong on this one. Happy to cop that on the chin. I was roaring for Port Adelaide believe me! Nothing better than seeing eddies purple head after the game!
Also means that my cats get to play you lot rather than Collingwood which I'm much more confident about.
port have had a great season. They are the surprise packet for the year even for the port supporters I would assume.

Lets be serious though. They won't beat Geelong.
Sydney and Geelong will go through comfortably this week. Should be to thrilling preliminary finals the week after.

Well done to port though. Great effort!

Toga

Good on ya for copping it on the chin mate! ;)

It seems that way but, I saw two tired sides last week, imo both are very vulnerable! Port are almost certain to go through imo, Blues almost as good a chance, Don't be at all surprised to see both favs lose!

Tipped the Cats v Port matchup! Willl go close to getting it again! Port will challenge and then I think the Hawks will underestimate them and, well work the rest out

Anyway, good to see you back TJ!

PowerBug

Being at the game on Saturday is one of if not the best day of my life. As Wes mentioned already, the last 6 years have been torture for Port supporters, so to see them take home the chocolates in a final we were not expected to make, was amazing.

As for this week, for the last month I've been fearing a playing Geelong in a final, as we all know what happened last time...

hahaha as a port supporter at the beginning of the season (like every season) I think they will make the 8, but if I had to give a logical opinion I would have never thought they would get this far, it reminds me of when I was a little kid and they were a contender every year, hasn't been like this for 5 years :) We will win against the Cats (haha realistically I'd be happy if we come close ;) ) but in all seriousness I really hope we can beat them, we most likely (can't emphasise it enough) will lose but I'm hoping the Power can prove themselves again, I would rather Sydney than the Cats by so much (easily one of the best sides in AFL history, imagine if they still had Ablett) but as a supporter I've gotta "Stand Tall"

Haha mate, I think after last year the Hawks might have learnt their lesson and won't be underestimating anyone anytime soon!!

Not to mention we were the kings of underestimation in 2008 ;)
