Can someone please tell me why this game is on Monday? Is there a public holiday somewhere that Queensland Is unfairly missing out on, or is it because its fun to have a Monday game?

Fun to have a Monday game pretty much :P And it was Mother's Day yesterday, noone would go to the game if it was yesterday afternoon. ;)

A couple years ago when they were about to introduce the Gold Coast and GWS they discussed where they would play the 9th game, They had games on thursday night and monday night and they just stuck with monday night games now.

Carlton and Saint Kilda have played on a monday for the past few years and now that both expansion clubs have been introduced they just stuck with the monday night game.

I'd rather more Thursday night fixtures. Monday should be the day that we all reflect on the weekend, not wait forever for another game.

Is anyone else finding today is just dragging on and on? :( Thursday night games would get everyone revved up for a big weekend. :D

I'd always want two sat arvo and two sat night, also two Friday night! No need for Monday or Thursday!

I recon Wednesday games in Hawaii ;D Now that would be entertaining? 8) At 5.30 in the morning! AEST time!

Sure I am looking forward to tonight but would rather it be all over and planning trades already!

This 60 minutes episode of the Air France flight is scaring the crap out of me, I never want to fly again.

Two Friday night's won't happen, solely because it the prime fixture of the season, and it's the only stand alone game of the round, the whole nation get's it live. The current 1-5-3 format works well enough i guess. Everyone will never be pleased. :P

Why would you want two on Friday? An extra day means an extra day of watching footy!
Also I'd hate to have two decent games to choose between watching.
