With a few exceptions, I have picked this team looking at players who have had significantly higher averages in seasons past and seem realistically capable of playing to that level again. I see a lot of potential in terms of both scoring and money-making, but I'm a bit worried that if even a couple of these guys go the other way it could mess up my whole season.

Backs

Luke Hodge, Jed Adcock, Lindsay Gilbee, Joel MacDonald, Tadgh Kennelly, Nick Malceski, Josh Hunt - Subs - Andrew Moore, Marcus Davies

Midfielders

Gary Ablett, Joel Selwood, Scott Thompson, Adam Cooney, Luke Ball, Dustin Martin - Subs - Michael Barlow, Luke Shuey

Rucks

Patrick Ryder, Nick Naitanui - Subs - Robert Warnock, Matthew Lobbe

Forwards

Matthew Pavlich, Jonathan Brown, Brent Harvey, Barry Hall, Robert Murphy, Jack Ziebell, Gary Rohan - Subs - Tom Rockliff, Scott Gumbleton

Any thoughts/suggestions?

gday m8, thought i'd reply...
IMO - thompson is good DT but not the best SC - go someone else.
FWD line looks ok - i think rohan will play he looks good.
i don't like adcock nor macdonald - but thats just personal preference they are a little popular with some others- m8 throw enright into ur backline don't want to miss the boat there. i'd prob only go one of tadgh or the eski and i think its the eski with the tickets atm. this year u can prob afford to go two rookies or 1st year draftees to start in ur mids as u will (should!) have adequate cover on ur bench for first 8 weeks - maybe minus one of them (prem mid to a cheapie) to switch a few others around - maybe atleast swap say ryder for a top 4 prem ruckmen or nat 4 that matter - ryder may surprise a few he has apparently worked hard on his fitness -so if u want him he is a little unique i guess.
u do have injury concerns everywhere - adcock, eski, hunt, harvey, hall, murphy, ziebell - but u stated that so up to u - most of these guys are popular picks anyway - i'll be starting a few of these but not all
