The topic heading was only a joke!!
Now that I have your attention, what do you think of this side.

B : Newman, Hargrave, Adcock, Malceski, Gilbert, Petterd, Gallman.
     ( Zeibell, Davenport )
M : Ablett, KCornes, Judd, Kerr, Swallow, Rich
     ( Dangerfield, Beams )
R : Cox, Charman ( McEvoy, Currie )
F : Reiwoldt, Pavlich, Franklin, Harvey, NGBrown, Lucas, MBrown(WC)
    ( Gumbleton, Grant )

I loaded up heavily in the forward line with 5 premiums but I thought that the rest of the side built up ok.
Bit thin with Gilbert, Petterd and Gallman starting, bit risky there.
Hoping that Swallow, Rich and Lucas are up for R1.
One of MBrown, Gumbleton or Grant should play R1.
If I have to I will downgrade a forward to upgrade a back.

Except for the backline

You should.

midfield and rucks alright, but need to lose one of Riewoldt, Buddy, pav, boomer or N brown out of your forward line and replace with a mid-price player, Aaron davey could be a go- reports say he is back to full fitness and running quicker then ever
with the money left over use it on your backline to get another gun

Took my own advice and dumped Pavlich.
Downgraded to Veszpremi.
Dropped Davenport off my bench and placed Gallman there.
Dropped Petterd and upgraded to Drummond with Hurley now a starter in place of Gallman.
I think this gives the side more stability.

abs of steele

Drummo is a massive injury risk, IMO it would be better to take Mundy. He's around the same price and hasn't missed a game since Round 6 2005 so he would be good to have in that backline since you could find yourself with a few donuts. Instead of dropping Pav, why not drop Riewoldt? Rooey has proven to be a slow starter and you could easily be able to pick him up cheaper at some point of the season. I think you could downgrade Kornes to Gibbs/Selwood aswell, just to free up a bit of cash and both of those will score just as much or maybe even more than Kornes. But it's your team, not mine.

GILLOTINE

Since you left me a very helpful and reassuring response in my thread i thought i'd give it  a crack for you. Here goes.

First i'll start with the rucks. I really like them. Lock and Leave type thing. Seems to be what everyone is going for this season. Really like your bench options here too(same as mine:D)

Midfield: I like Ablett(who doesnt) but whilst Kornes and Judd and Kerr are all fun players i dont think i like them for DT this year. Judd and Kerr especially. Kerr doesnt seem to have the potential to pull the mig scores anymore as he gets the #1 tag every week without cuz and judd anymore. Plus he usually has an injury of some sort which he battles during the season, and on top of that, a bad tribunal record. I doubt this guys ability to play 17+ games. And i think you really need 19/20+ out of someone of that price, even if he is cheap for a player of that quility. Judd i just dont like because he is more of an inside player at Carlton. Also has groin troubles. Kornes i think is ok, but could possibly be traded out as his scoring dropped a fair bit last yr and whilst it could of just been a one off i wouldnt be taking the risk at $436k.
Possible trade targets here:
-Kornes OUT Scott Thompson/Marc MurphyIN
-Judd OUT Van Berlo/Boak/Gibbs(all look set  to go to 'premium status' this season IMO
-Kerr OUT Kinghts/Cousins/Bateman/Lewis IN(all are slightly more
expensive but are worht it IMO).

ON TO THE FORWARD LINE!
VEERRRY NICE!
Riewoldt how ever is usually a slow starter(by his standards) and i hear he had surgeory on his Knee today. Which will take 4 weeks to recover from, so no NAB for nick means he might be underdone. I would get Deledio instead, and have Riewoldt in mind as a target upgrade. Like Boomer in there, class midfielders should always be taken when available in the forward line IMO, Hence the deledio selection. Like NG Brown, hopefully he can get back to very high figures for you. Good risk to take IMO. Franklin is class, and as a Hawks supporter yourself you would know, Keep him. Vesz i really like too. Might even be a keeper. Porps style. Lucas has worries but should be right, and if you dont like what you see in the Nab then Higgins and Alwyn are also option. Both cost less too!. Your bucking the trend in not selecting Yarren, this could be good for you if he turns out to be a flop. Balleytine should be looked at if he is right for rnd 1. If not could be a downgrade option for one of your fat cash cows a little later on.

Backline:

ahh screw it, im going to bed......TO BE CONTINUED!!!

hibbo

I know I'm no dt expert, but IMO i would keep judd, i think some reports on him have said hes lost his groin problems and is back to full fitness- watch him closely in the nab cup to see how he is moving... but with him being captain and blues looking for a top 8 spot, i think he is set to tear it up this year (more then normal anyway). But who knows just my thoughts.

Not saying Judd won't have a great year. But i dont think he is as good a DT player as he is an actual player. IMO it is worth going for a younger player like Gibbs who i beleive should average 95+. Judd will get most of the attention in the midfield where as Gibbs is probobly 3rd in line behind Judd and Murphy. Judd will most likely have a good year and i expect him to average around 90. But the extra points per game the gibbs could provide could really come in handy. Plus no injury concerns with him! As far as i know anyway

Cheers.

jazz

my side is probs gonna have judd and gibbs, based on both your points.

i'm no expert but the backline does contain a few risks. kerr is risky because of the tag he gets. fwds look strong, but with reiwoldt surgery + his slow starts, you could get him out and get some good d.
