I can't believe they actually have this idea as a possibility. They say they want to put more multicultural diversity in the game, so what better idea is there than to have a national team comprised of only one nationality ::)

Seriously, what are they thinking doing something like this? They say that they are doing this because no one wants to play in it anymore. This is because no one cares about it anymore. But how is this going to create interest? You are not going to be able to field a full field of star players just from Aboriginal players. There just isn't all the talent there.

The reason no one wants to play is because no one cares about it. It isn't built up as a big grudge match or anything, there is no tradition or rivalry there anymore. Everyone went off it since the Irish complained that we were too hard 6 odd years ago. Really, I think the format is dead, it had so much potential, but they just did the wrong thing with it. This won't fix anything.

I dont see what the fuss is of them making an indigenous side. They have an indigenous vs kiwi game in the nrl. Is that racist? I dont think so.
At least the indigenous team are passionate about it. The game they played against Richmond in the pre season was the most effort and flare a lot of those guys had played with for years

I think the the issue is that they want an AUSTRALIAN REPRESENTATIVE team made up of only indeginous players.

No one wants to play in it anyway though so let em play lol. made out to be a bigger issue than it is. Players wanna holiday and get pissed in october not play a pointless made up game with some amateur irish folks
