I wanna start him forward but I reckon he might get the vest. green got the vest last week but he came on and kicked a few goals, polkinghorne has had the vest before but he got 25 possies last week. mayes is named last on the interchange after only getting one possie in the 1st quarter last week.. even still with the vest he may score similar to dwyer, caff or neade which are my other options.
what are peoples thoughts?

LF

Who really knows with Voss could be anyone.
Being named last on the interchange means squat it could be someone named on the field he has done that move already this year(so have a couple of other teams).

caluuum

Rockliff and Zorko have been named last on the interchange this year... Doesn't mean anything

teatowel

who else will get the vest then? the other two vest candidates I see in the team played well last week.
it doesn't help tho... more often than not its an interchange player that gets the vest..
I feel a lot safer playing someone who got named in the middle than someone on the bench..

LF

Just had a look Green wore the vest v Eagles last year so he is a possibility
Bewick is another one that cops it sometimes

Andrew

Seriously who knows, Simon Black could even get it coming back from injury.

This. I can see them easing Black in slowly so I'd say a he'll get one of the vests.

teatowel

oh yea I didn't even realise black was coming back from injury! Mayes on field feels alot more comfortable now. cheers lads

Green's pace destroyed west coast last year i think he had 3 goals from 4 touches and should of had another when glass cleaned him up in the square. he is a perfect sub. but who knows whats going through vossy's head other than "I'm going to get the sack"

Well if it makes you feel more comfortable about starting him, it makes me feel more comfortable about starting him as well :P But I don't think there's much to worry about and regardless, are you really going to gamble on a different rookie when Mayes is averaging 86.5?

teatowel

Yea exactly Andrew. Even if Mayes were to get the vest he'll probably still manage a 40-50 and that's about all your gonna get out of the likes of caff and neade anyways

Black will get the vest. Voss is an idiot though, no way of telling what he will do.

Ricochet

Logic says they will start Black as sub and bring him into the game after it has slowed down a bit
But it all depends what his fitness level is at and how he has been performing in the 2s
It will be Black or Green imo
