No worries :)

So the deal is, if you get Swallow this week then you don't get Cotchin? That's a tough one... Cotch should out-average Swallow come year's end imo, and could do okay this week vs Port who he had 121 on last time... If you get Swallow, would you be able to get Cotch in a few weeks time?

Yeah I think I'll grab Swallow soon but am gonna take a two more weeks just to see how he goes - if he averages like 105 over the next two, he's only predicted to go up like 3K iirc so shouldn't really hurt me :)

pinochio

kinda toga,

getting swallow gets me to 6 super premos so i will prob end up getting defenders/forwards in the next couple of upgrades...
just looking i can get cotch this week since he is under 515k (just realised)....but he might be playing injured etc..

thing is i can get daisy this week and hope to get cotch next week...

swallow is also a rd 11 bye....hmm...

not sure, what you think...team is in the post before :)

thx

Toga

Ah, I see!

Well your current premium(rookie) structure on the field is: 4(2)-5(3)-2(0)-4(2).

I reckon your backline is alright for the moment, but your forwards and mids need an extra premium imo. And I think a R11 bye player in your mids is probably a good idea seeing as you have 1xR12 & 4xR13, so getting Cotchin (11) would even it up a bit more than getting Swallow (12). And if you are getting a combination of Daisy + Cotchin then you are effectively tying up both of your weak lines in the next fortnight, making your team look a lot stronger! 8)

I'm not sold on Daisy but he'll probably be alright. So if possible I would get Daisy & Cotch. ;)

Can you do that?

oh nah i cant get daisy AND cotch this week...

daisy this week and cotch next...although like alot of ppl i dont really trust daisy....

so you think that daisy this week and cotch next is the way to go....but i cant help feel issues may arise and i wont get my 6th mid till like 2 week...which is why i think getting a premo this week may be safer...

get my dilemma?? :P

Toga

Yeah, gotcha. Well, Cotch can wait until next week. Even if he goes 120 again vs Port, he'll still be goind down in price and you'll get him for under 500K I would think. So if that's the dilemma, definitely go Daisy this week and Cotchin next week.

Yeah I'm not trusting Dais just yet. He would take Mayes' spot on field, and I think Mayes can hold his own for the moment so I'm gonna leave Daisy out until I know 100% that he's a solid option, which I'm not convinced about atm.

But yeah I also see what you mean that other issues may arise next week and you won't be able to make that upgrade, but I guess that's just a risk we've gotta take.. :-[

Windigo

Thomas has had one good game in a very friendly DT role. I'm not even considering him at this stage.

pinochio

what you think of my options windigo?

- swallow this week, no cotch next
- daisy this week and cotch next
- could even get cotch this week but seems like a waste considering his b/e :/

Toga

+1 Windi, Bucks has already said it wasn't gonna be a regular role, and with Beams and Ball returning I'm not sold.

pinochio

if i dont get daisy this week and gotta wait for cotch till next....im back to square 1 lol

no idea on trades! :(

I'd back in premo's over saving a few dollars TBH.

pinochio

in that case windi...:)

swallow or cotch (who may or may not be injured....)

Toga

Over the season I'd back in Cotch pretty comfortably I think. I want Swallow myself, but still a bit worried about the chance of him having a few stinkers that will throw him off. Cotchin I'd back in for 90-120 most weeks with confidence (barring injury/sickness like last week).

Tbh I think if Cotch is still feeling that knee come this round the club would be silly not to give him a rest, he's so important to us, so if he plays I think he would be alright.

Would you consider a double downgrade this week? Or a downgrade and a fix-up trade, and leave getting Cotch till next week?

Yeah I like the trades mate, I'll be getting Swallow in in a couple of weeks I think. Unless I backflip and get Selwood :P

Re: Vlastuin, I don't think it's a huge deal if you miss out on him. The Tiges have Tuck and Foley to come back in, both play a similar role to Vlastuin in the side. Imo, Matt White will make way for Tucky this week, and then there's a good chance Foley might come in for Vlastuin (hate to say it :() which makes his JS a bit shaky..

If Laird is named this week, I am considering grabbing him instead of Vlas, just because he doesn't come with that price premium and probably has similar JS..

+1, I agree. I was tossing up which one to go with (if both named) but I like Laird's JS a little better and being a lot cheaper helps. Was worried about missing out on Vlas but I reckon Laird will be the way to go if he's named.

prob want an upgrade this week as ii have the chance (luxury for now)

for this round who do ppl think is better to get in:

Swallow or Cotchin - considering injurys/potential tags/breakevens but not so much...

Toga

Trent Cotchin:
*61, 121 vs PA last year
*Avg last 3: 82
*Last 3 @ AAMI: 85

Andrew Swallow:
*95, 93 vs WBD last year
*Avg last 3: 93
*Last 3 @ Etihad: 107

On form alone atm I'd probably go for Spitz if you are chasing a good score this round. But overall I'd say Cotch is a better chance to outaverage Swallow over the season.
