2 trades i then am tossing up is stevenson to either a bottamed out swallow or an on the rise daisy???
..only have 515k to spend...can just get swallow!

...gettinh swallow leaves me with a mid of swan/gaj/pendles/watson/jelwood/swallow/omeara/evans
is that too mid heavy???

what you guys reckon - bottamed out 4th in average swallow or daisy who may be in a new dt friendly posi???

- stevo/wines > laird/swallow
- stevo/wines > laird/daisy
- stevo/wines > vlaustuin/daisy....but then i cant get cotch next week crunching the numbers, so i dont think the extra 40k is worth vlaus' price tag over laird who may very well score the same :)

I'd say you're fine to get Swallow. 6 mid premos is fine, that's how many I will have this week and I know many others are in the same boat. Plus I'm kinda getting worried about Daisy, not sure what his long term role will be and will most likely cop a tag this week against Freo. If you bring Swallow in you will have the same structure as me (2 rooks on each main line) which I think is nice and balanced. Enables you to focus on bringing in bottomed out premos in any area in the coming weeks, rather than having to worry about a weak fwd line, for example.

however one slight correction i have 5 premos in the backs....gibbs is just resting up ;)


thing is im also worried about daisy....but if i get swallow this week i miss out on cotch next week, thats if cotch isnt injured/sick or whatever AND i dont have any other problems which in 2013 is unlikely...

Ah yeh I didn't see Gibbs there, you'll have a solid team when he comes back. With Swallow vs Vlastuin, I'm in the same situation and I'm picking Swallow for the points bonus plus I think he'll maintain a 105+ avg. Kinda annoyed I will miss Vlastuin but I'll probably do a double downgrade next week to Lonergan + Kennedy/whoever looks best. Also worth noting that Vlastuin's JS is shakey with Tuck and Nahas threatening to return.

great minds think alike lolz...on all the 3 players (daisy/swallow/vlas), funny how we were thinking along the same lines!

getting swallow this week means we miss out on cotch/priddis, you think thats ok...prob will do double downgrade next week anyway to be cashed up for maybe a birchall inclusion the following week :)

Re: Vlastuin, I don't think it's a huge deal if you miss out on him. The Tiges have Tuck and Foley to come back in, both play a similar role to Vlastuin in the side. Imo, Matt White will make way for Tucky this week, and then there's a good chance Foley might come in for Vlastuin (hate to say it :() which makes his JS a bit shaky..

If Laird is named this week, I am considering grabbing him instead of Vlas, just because he doesn't come with that price premium and probably has similar JS..

you think missing cotch next week isnt a big deal, i mean i get swallow instead and have him this week onwards where as waiting a week for cotch etc...and he might be shower again who knows and other issues may arise :)

just worried about swallows quite games....but everyone has quite games huh and it seems swallow is a bit of a different player then before...
