I heard on the sunday footy show last sunday that he struggled with the flu against Geelong. Is this the reason he is missing?

Says his knee is the reason.

Wouldn't go so far as to say that without him there's no team Jayman but it is a blow.

I'm disappointed that Vickery is out and Aaron Edwards isn't playing.

Cotch deserves a rest, shouldn't have to play if he's injured.
I still think we will win. Some good ins.
I'd expect Maric to play a lot up forward with Vickery out.

Bit stiff on Az Edwards, would have preferred him in over Orren. Sad to see Ricky out, but confident Batch can replace him. Don't think we should stress too much about Cotch, Foles and Tucky back will fill the void easily. 8)

Should be a great game, a close one too.

Orren needs to play or Maric has no backup, if he even plays but I would have brought Edwards in over Nahas..

Our midfield is still strong with Tuck and Foley returning but Cotchin out is still a big blow.

We had such a good run with injuries early now all of a sudden Conca, Grimes, Petterd, Cotchin, Vickery and Maybe Maric.. Starting to stack up right when we really need a win. Lucky we got the dees next week lol

Disagree. Richmond would not have expected Luke Mcgunne to come on so well so they probably thought Edwards would be playing in his place.
Edwards cant play ruck so there is no point bringing him in for the absence of Vickery. Stephenson was the right choice there to help Maric out. Bit of rain expected to which I would suggrest is the reason they brought Nahas in over Edwards.
Edwards will get his chance. Perhaps against Melbourne

But yeah reading the article saying Port dropped a selection surprise only taking Jarrad Redden into the game as ruckman, makes me think we might have a late out of one of our big men and bring in Az..

Just very surprised he isn't getting a game atm after his form, although TeeJay is right there that we would probably have to drop McGuane or Vickery, both of which are playing well atm.

Doesn't Aaron Edwards play for North?

Westhoff will be the 2nd ruck, or Daniel Stewart will come in late and play the 2nd ruck role. I'm also surprised that both our rucks have been dropped. :O

He moved to Richmond in trade week.
Surprised Stewart hasn't played so far, thought he played okay last year.

Yeah traded to Richmond for pick 70-odd, was one of the last minute trades to go through.

If one of Maric/Orren was a late withdraw, there's not really anyone else that can ruck for us is there? So hopefully they'll be staying in the team.

Exactly..McGuane had to play second ruck when Vickery went down last week and that just didnt work. The only other guy who can pinch hit is Griffiths but he's not playing. Tucky has actually taken a few centre bounces in his time to. None of these are good options though. Maric and Big O both have to do it

I thought maybe one of them might be late out for Az given they only have one ruckman but when you think about it that'd be far too risky with Westhoff able to pinch hit, just wouldn't work. :-[

I'm nervous about the game... Can't wait to see what the boys can do though. :)
