Whats your stance on this?

one team recently sold for $100 and wouldn't be in the top 5000.

this could be a big problem if not stamped out!!! make numerous teams, slowing off sell on ebay the ones not performing and keep the better one.

or would you sell your team this week thats inside the top500 for say $250?

This is a snowball, there is cheating and then there is profiting from cheating, the later being a whole lot worse imo.

I don't like it, because I think people will make multiple teams to sell them and make $$$

sammy123

i saw a team and the guy was top 20. Wanted over 200 dollars for his team or some crap. Its an outrage i tell ya

specky92

Who would buy a team though,
-no friends in any league
-could so easily get flowered over

I can't see anyone buying a team over top 200 and if you were to buy a team you obviously don't have a clue about supercoach

Don't see how it could be a problem? I personally couldn't be flowered making a bunch of teams for the sake of $100 dollars. Too much work. Maybe some school kid with a lot of time on his hands could make some extra cash out of it. If so, good on him. I don't think many people would waste their money!

definately a bad thing it doesnt take much effort to make a few teams and if your any good its not hard to make a few good teams.

No clue why people would buy a bad team but im sure if i put my SC team ranked just outside the top 100 a few people woudl bid for it. Would never do it though.

Arent there already systems in place for stopping people creating multiple teams?

Not sure there is any real system, its almost an honesty system

If you are caught out to have numerous teams in the past the the SC controllers will delete all your teams bar the one highest rank (i would delete all other than the lowest ranked one, but thats just me).

dudes will say wifes team, sons team, dads team, GF team and control them all from one house computer so you have a argument there that the same IP address can have a few teams attached to it. This is too much!!!!

it would be quite easy to make numerous good teams if you know what your doing and then sell them off

e.g. pick all the good rookies in all teams

alternate between teams:

Mundy/Fyfe/Barlow/ Maloney

Cotchan/Watson/Selwood

Ablett and Pendles
Ablett and Swan
Swan and Pendles

Mcevoy/Goldy/Griffin

Rooy/Franklin
SJ/Bartel

and so on and so on

You're right, I completely missed the issue. It's not about selling the teams off, because any team sold off is going to be a dud. It's the fact they are making multiple teams in the first place to try reach the ultimate prize. I dunno how you could control it either, maybe you should have to sign up with your mobile number or something?

What a hollow feeling it must b to not have a team with any of Ur DNA on it.
The whole satisfaction in this game is using Ur football knowledge to make good decisions and create Ur own team.
Farkin losers. They will crack down on it next year. Probably too late to do anything about it this year

HotTiges

Buying teams off EBAY? What a waste of money IMO.you could do a team by pretty much copying someone else's team on this forum etc

They actually delete your highest ranked one and you are stuck with the lowest ranked one.
My silly nephew did 2 teams one year (got busted by his parents as well) and they froze/deleted his higher ranked team.

All stinks of rotten fish guts.

I have a person with whom I am familiar, hard to call him a friend after finding out the following -

Has set up teams for the bye rounds. Loaded up on guns from playing teams and rookies to build a formidable war chest to trade in going guns in he weeks leading up to the byes.

He assures me he will be able to field 18 guns for each of the 3 bye rounds.

I hate it.   >:(

I will post his scores those weeks.

Firstly, this is obviously a bad thing, multi-accounting in general is wrong and this is just a follow on of that..

Secondly, this is an absolutely stupid move by the person buying the team.
Its round 6 and basically if ya not in the top few thousand, you pretty much cant win the lot.

So lets say you buy a team which is 950th now, given 2,000 people can still win (just ballpark numbers).
A teams average price would be $25 (in reality it would be a sliding price depending on rank) , but a team at 950th would be worth roughly $25. (im disregarding the chance of weekly prize for ease)

So to pay $100 bucks at round 6 for a team, you would want a side within a few hundred points of the overall leader. Than the question would be, why would the coach sell such a high ranking team?

... Also if you are not good enough to have a decent ranked team of your own, then you sure as hell arnt good enough to win it from round 6 with a team outside the top few hundred..    haha  thats my 2 cents
