Most teams don't see the fruits of a new coach until their second year at the helm. Look at Freo. Expect good things this year Vin ;)

Didn't even take Ross the boss a season did it? Think freo were flying after about half way through his first season from memory

yeh it did we scraped into the 8 in his first year and we were really messy as Ross tried to implement his game plan. This year he got his second preseason to build further on what he tried to bring to the club and we saw the results.

Don't worry Freo fans, second place is still good :P #banter

Haha and this is how my arguments always end with my Freo fan mates :P Freo will be up there for sure one day and who knows, I might not even be able to use the '3-0' excuse for very much longer! #WesternStraya

No real news, just that the surgery went ok and he is looking at a return in 6-8 weeks. On another note, anyone else think it looks like he's slimmed down a bit?

Cotchin looked so strong overhead, Griffiths has an amazing kick, tackling all round looked pretty good in the game yesterday. Can't wait for Round 1!

Interesting move, but I can understand it.

He's actually a pretty decent tagger, and I reckon another experienced body like his could be a bonus. I also didn't realise that he was only 26, thought he was older.

This could potentially mean Miles doesn't get elevated unless we get an LTI, as the club might opt to elevate Orren as insurance.

Also need to add that I'm really happy McDonough (need to get a nickname for him if he doesn't already have one, McDonough is too damn long to type :P) is getting games, and he's playing as a defender, so I'm interested to see how the team looks.

Fairly sure 8 weeks (the equivalent to 2 months) is an LTI iirc.
