I have the all too common Def issue this week (Gibbs/Goodes/Pittard) i've toyed with most of the obvious trades but keep looking at Martin in my FWD line with his relatively high BE (131) and the 140 in his 3 game average about to go.... he could bleed $60k plus in the next 3 weeks, do most that have him plan on keeping him for the season?

If not should I move him on now? my plan would be to sideways him to Hartlett and keep Gibbs on the pine.

Id swap Martin into the Mids via Dwyer, then when trading him out move Goodes to the Mid bench.

This would leave with with:
Def: Goddard, Heppell, Hibberd, Hartlett, Stevenson, Terlich (Gibbs,Pittard) + Goodes to come back from the Mid's
Fwd line would be: Cox, Cloke, Franklin, Rockliffe, JJK, Brynes (Dwyer,Macaffer)

My other trade this week is going to be Blicavs to Gawn.

How would this leave your midfield for cover and scoring? I am guessing by having a look at the forward and back lines your midfield must be fielding at least 3 rookies. As long as you still have some cover in the mids just in case then this could work.

Also, could you just sideways Gibbs -> Harlett and keep Martin? Both Martin and Gibbs may leak a bit of coin, but with Martin still in you will be earning more points.

Points wise it is Martin vs. Byrnes which Martin wins, and cash wise it is who will leak more Gibbs or Martin, I think about even.

Mids would be: Ablett, Pendelbury, Cotchin, Dangerfield, Moloney, Wines, Omeara, Evans (Neade, Goodes) or Dwyer could play over Evans.
I would have about $100k in the bank and next week was thinking of possibly downgrading someone to get enough $$$ to go Moloney to Swan (but that might be tough)

Gibbs to Hartlett was where I started but will I have the trades later on to get him back in...
If I keep Martin I would probably play him in the mid over Evans and hope Byrnes continues his good form at F8.

Or another option I considered was really rolling the dice and going Gibbs > Laird, then next week I could go Moloney to Swan and Cloke to StevieJ.

Or do I play it safe keep Martin and Gibbs and just do Pittard > Laird...

Im already planning Cloke to go either next week or the one after, he "should" increase in value this week...where'as Martin wont.
Kennedy is about to go up against a fairly easy run, Dogs,Brisbane,Nth,GWS so I dont see the point of moving him on now and am planning on moving him on after that when he should be $450k plus.

So I see the decision as being Martin to go this week or never...

Holz

averaging 94 scored 99 last week thats keeper for me.

has had a hard draw which will get much easier, if i didnt have him would consider trading him in.
