All good opinions, thanks guys.  ;)

Fully well know that one injury or suspension could throw my trades plans to shower. But that is out of my hands really...

Team After The 3 week Plan:

Backs:

Goddard, Hartlett, Birchall, Gibbs, Goodes & Terlich ( Vlastuin & Laird)

Mids:

Swan, Ablett, Pendlebyry, Stanton, Selwood, Redden, Lonergan & O'Meara (Evans & Mitchell) - Still got him. Hopefully he get's elevated.  :P

Rucks:

Cox & Berger (Blicavs & Daw)

Fwds:

Johnson, Rockliff, Riewoldt, Kennedy, LeCras & Caff (Dywer & Neade)

Alternatively I can trade a fwd cow to a rookie on the go. But we will see.

Might try and go LeCras->Franklin???

Seems good on paper.
Have to realise that some nonsense will come up in the next 3 weeks that may force your hand. Are you comfortable with not being able to get Gibbs back due to unforeseen circumstances?

This is exactly why I'm not trading him out... There's so many things I've planned to do trade-wise this season already, only for injuries/suspensions/other bullshower just to screw my plans over...

I quite like the plan Windi, although I'm not sold on trading out Gibbsy :-X

That's fair enough, but I get Stanton Vs GWS. Surely this will heavily compensate not having him. But then again, I know can't trust the flower.... :P
Yeah I thoroughly like the plan mate! Not sure about getting rid of Gibbs, but when you do state your 3 week plan, it does justify it!

Here's my 3 week plan just to compare :P

Round 6:
Westhoff --> Ablett (10k)
Goodes --> Laird (180k)

Round 7:
Stevenson --> Vlastuin (280k)
Heath --> Scotland(60k)

Round 8:
Dwyer --> K.Mitchell (180k)
Wines --> Franklin(90k)

Leaving my team as:

Backs:

Goddard, Gibbs, Heppell, Scotland, Pittard & Terlich (Vlastuin & Laird)

Mids:

Swan, Ablett, Watson, Pendlebury, Selwood, Moloney, Crouch & O'Meara (Mitchell & Evans)

Rucks:

Cox, Leuenberger (Blicavs & Daw)

Forwards:

Franklin, Bartel, Zorko, Rockliff, Cloke, JJK (Neade & Macaffer)

Windigo

Yeah, seems solid mate.

Will need some luck on our side, but hopefully both plans pay off.  :)

I'm not disagreeing with it, I'm just a bit skeptical that it'll be that easy. I plan ahead in Dream team but not too that much detail as you don't know what the future may bring. As long as you have you rooks ready to downgrade you should be fine, just I'm expressing my concern with complications that may arise.

Do it but make sure you have 1-2 back up plans incase anything goes wrong that way you can be prepared :) seriously the week most people were suppose to cash in the Hoff 3 backs went down... Who knows what else could occur, especially when dealing with players like Hartlett, LeCras, Gibb (atm), Laird/Vlastuin (we don't know what to expect from them but they are cheap so not as much of a concern). Like I said go for it and it will most likely work just make sure you have a Plan B :)

pinochio

my fairly loose plan for next couple of weeks

This round: pittard/goodes > hartlett/laird
Next round: whitfield or wines/heath or stevenson > vlastuin/cotchin if he has b/e of like 90-100 i think
Third week: Get in birch by hopefully up/down grading 2 rooks

quite flexiable but a plan :D

Bones Bombers

I like the long term plan and I'm not going to say don't trade Gibbs.
But let me know if I've got this straight.
Your starting back line this week will be Goddard, Hartlett, Heath, Stevenson, Terlich, Laird(Goodes, Pittard)
Ouch!

Windigo

Yes. But I'd assume many will be in the same boat as many have Gibbs, Goodes & Pittard?

+1 majority of people this week will be fielding 4 rooks

Bones Bombers

Yeah true a lot do, I don't have Pittard . Traded him to Hartlett last week.
Would it be better to get Birchall and play a mid rookie or Stanton and play a back rookie is the question I guess.
Hope Stants goes bang for you and the mighty Bombers.

Bones Bombers

BTW my 2 week trade plan( not sure about third yet)
This week:
Gibbs and Dwyer to Laird and Stevie J
Next week:
Heath/Jones and Goodes to Vlastuin and Gibbs
A bit weird trading Gibbs out and then back in but wanted Stevie J in my forward line and would have needed 3 trades this week to do it. May as well use the 2 trades a week. This way I get Stevie's points this week.

Team will be:
Godd, Gibbs, Hartlett, Hepp, Vlas, Terlich(Laird, Hutchins)
Ablett, Swan, Pendles, Watson, Cotchin, Wines, O'meara, Crouch(Jones, Evans)
Goldy, Luey(Blicavs, Daw)
Buddy, Cox, Stevie, Rocky, Bartel, JJK(Neade, Rowe)

Then to work out the next move....

I'lll be fielding three but I never had Pittard. But pretty much everyone will field a maimed backline

I'm fielding a maimed midfield and somewhat decent backline. I figure midfield rooks have a higher scoring potential than backline rooks.

Adamant

I'm personally scared of planning trades 2+ weeks in advance after my failed NRoo to Pav trade after round 4. ::) Ended up ousting the Voldt after round 1 and Pav's injury meant I couldn't get him in at all. :P

Like the plan though, gun team. 8)

Windigo

Haha, trading Voldt after one week was dodgy. Then got Cloke, but then missed out on the huge score he got?? But then missed out on Voldt's huge score also.  :P
