I was going to drop Blicavs and Westhoff for Gawn and SJ but i think with Gibbs, Goodes and Pittard out i will be going Blicavs and Goodes for Gawn and Laird. This means i have to wear Hoff's price fall

Get in SJ over Gawn.

HOFF will decrease in price by 20-25k, SJ increase 30-35k. = 50-60k overall + more points.

Gawn will increase 35/40k = 20k less than the hoff trade + he will end up getting 50/60 compared to blicavs's 30/40 = +20 points aswell. And that's only if you decide to play him on the field.. assuming you have leuey/cox or something like that in the rucks as cover... Gawn is a bench player. Sort out your field first and make sure you dont get any donuts.

I agree with Jormas, you have to make a backline trade, leaves you one and i rate the timing of the hoff - stevie J trade this week as far more important than a simple tho effective cash grab doing any rookie - rookie trade.

if gawn is great again he will probably still be worth getting on next week and shouldnt cost a lot more than blicavs so a wise sideways even after a price rise if he plays well and holds his spot. both which he should do.
If hoff averages 110 for 4 weeks he goes down $11k, if SJ averages 110 he goes up $13k.

With Clarke out for 8 weeks, Gawn is now the tall forward in the dees lineup. Yes the Dees are showere but if Gawn averages 60 for the 4 weeks then he goes up $130K.

Goodes will be back in my team as soon as his suspension is up, Blicavs isnt going to make any more money at the rate he is going.

my support / preference for the stevie J trade is all about POINTS reliability nothing to do with money.

I would love to do the gawn trade i disagree with jormas 2nd post on that making less money than the defender trade, as cavs is finished and gawn will rise at least 200k over 3-4 weeks, that is a great profit for a trade.

my concern is for the same price you can get an ultra consistent stevie J (once he warms up for the season - he can start slow) or you have the hoff who can be played where he was played last week or given a role or i don't know what happen last week but he wasn't ever going to score big the way he was being used.

still i think either trade can wait until next week i rate them both

as for a defence trade i wouldn't be sideways trading a premium out for 2 (unless i had the spare trade and nothing else to use it on) or downgrading a rook that is not maxed out (UNLESS I HAD TO.)

so i like the first two i just mentioned better, if the defence trade is not required to avoid a donut that is .

but each to his own :)

I had to do gibbs to birchall as i have 3 out in defence

and i did the stevie j trade, i'll look at gawn next week even dearer i reckon he will still be better than blicavs so why not..

Toga

Yeah exactly right CW i'll be looking at Blicavs to Gawn next week despite being of similar price just because Gawn has so much more potential both scoring wise and cash generation wise!

I got on big Maxy last week. Don't think he is a must at all, but I needed the cash from somewhere and he should be very solid.
