if you look back to my very first fantasy team posts in the preseason my rookie rucks = gawn + daw.

i would have loved to get him in this week, for blicavs.

but then we have the defence issues......

gibbs and goodes and pittard....

i also jumped on westhoff in DT and while he scored me a 110+ the first week then the shower score this week he has made me cash and needs to turn into stevie J.

what to do what to do....

gibbs to birchall

or

goodes to rook

and / or

hoff to stevie

or

blicavs to gawn

then there is the midfield.....

viney and crouch sit on my bench

might need to wait for teams until i can make a call on this weeks trades.

but one thing is for certain if you have the luxury of using a trade for it - GET ON GAWN !

Scrads

Definitely waiting on teams this week to decide on who to trade. At this stage I won't be bringing in Gawn even though I would love to :(

Ricochet

Think I will just wait for Hannath next week. Got too many other issues atm

Toga

So you see Hannath as having solid JS then Ric?

Ricochet

Very solid now. No Pav, No Keplar, No Tanner Smith. Only person that MAY affect him is Z.Clarke who is listed as a test. But even then if Clarke comes in for Keplar, a big bodied player will have to replace Hannath

Toga

Kk, good points, sounds promising.

I always planned on getting Gawn this week but really think the points will be won in a midfield upgrade this week so am wanting to get one done, meaning I miss Gawn and look at big Jack next week :)

Jormas

What do people think about this?

Viney -> Laird (sub Gibbs into mids and have Frost & Goodes on the bench aswell as opening up a DPP Mid/Back

&

HOFF -> SJ..

or, instead of the hoff.... bring in Gawn for Blicavs. (i think i might wait til next week as SJ will make 40k, Laird will make 50-60 and Gawn only 40 odd.) - plus i make another 70 odd points from not fielding a donut

Capper

I was going to drop Blicavs and Westhoff for Gawn and SJ but i think with Gibbs, Goodes and Pittard out i will be going Blicavs and Goodes for Gawn and Laird. This means i have to wear Hoff's price fall

Get in SJ over Gawn.

HOFF will decrease in price by 20-25k, SJ increase 30-35k. = 50-60k overall + more points.

Gawn will increase 35/40k = 20k less than the hoff trade + he will end up getting 50/60 compared to blicavs's 30/40 = +20 points aswell. And that's only if you decide to play him on the field.. assuming you have leuey/cox or something like that in the rucks as cover... Gawn is a bench player. Sort out your field first and make sure you dont get any donuts.

I agree with Jormas, you have to make a backline trade, leaves you one and i rate the timing of the hoff - stevie J trade this week as far more important than a simple tho effective cash grab doing any rookie - rookie trade.

if gawn is great again he will probably still be worth getting on next week and shouldnt cost a lot more than blicavs so a wise sideways even after a price rise if he plays well and holds his spot. both which he should do.

Jormas

defenders.

Laird will rise more than Gawn, and will score more.

+ if you have gibbs/goodes, im guessing you need someone to cover you. So go points and money over just points.

+ Gawn would be playing bench anyway, due to im guessing you ahev Cox/Leuey or whatnot on the field.

If hoff averages 110 for 4 weeks he goes down $11k, if SJ averages 110 he goes up $13k.

With Clarke out for 8 weeks, Gawn is now the tall forward in the dees lineup. Yes the Dees are showere but if Gawn averages 60 for the 4 weeks then he goes up $130K.

Goodes will be back in my team as soon as his suspension is up, Blicavs isnt going to make any more money at the rate he is going.

Rucks are currently Sauce and Big boy with Blicavs and Rowe on bench. Blicavs has made his cash. Not changing my trades at this stage
