APL FINALS Round 1

The first round of the finals sees first play second in a qualifying match. The winner goes directly through to the grandfinal and gets next week off, the loser gets a second chance. The other match is between 3rd and 4th in an elimination match. The winner plays the loser of the qualifying match and the loser is sent packing.

Trade Cut Off Point
For players to be eligible for round 2 they mus be traded in to your team before 11.59.59pm Thursday 2nd May. Trades after this wont be eligible until the following round.

Team Submission
Your team sheet must be submitted in this thread no later than 11.59.59pm Friday 3rd May. If your team is not submitted then your team from last week will be used. Team structure is identical to the official game and must be adhered to. This means:

I love a good stat or two and how's this one!?

I have played the Scaling Saints 6 times this season. They have won 5 while I have won the once. Funnily enough, that one win was by one point (thanks HGA) and it was the first leg of the APL Cup quarters (which I went on to get slayed in the second leg).

Despite finishing higher, I surely go in as underdogs given this stat and the fact I am coming off a big loss to BS the week prior?

Oh also please note. You are now not allowed to make any trades with teams that have been eliminated from the finals. The players from those teams are now on holiday in the Bahamas :)
