Tanking alert!

hardly no rolling lockout in BXVS, who was tanking him for naming carrots and vanberlo or me for not naming priddis ?

still a surprisingly shocking score, more used to getting them myself than having my opponent get them.

but i'll take it :)
Was kidding ;) You can claim the captain cost them 150 points, and the two DNP's = 250, and TomaHawk cost nearly 100. Very respectable score then. :)

I like it how the sides, in general, are quite even and it does vary week to week on who wins. :)

Yuck.
By the way, will Oxford get 0 or 30 as their HGA? We'll get over the top of them either way...But curious.

EMG: Jack Viney (Mid) (61), Sam Dwyer (Mid/Fwd) (48), Rohan Bail (Mid) (43)

Well this was a bad, bad, bad week for me. All emergencies having to play. Howe the lowest scorer with 33 being the HGA doesn't help much.

1053 + 20 point bonus + 33 HGA = 1107

I don't think it's possible to score much lower than that  :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
Just checked your score BB and I have the following Jack Viney replaces Nathan Van Berlow, Rohan Bail replaces Andrew Carazzo, Sam Dwyer replaces Lenny Hayes all in correct positions so you get their scores added making a total of 1179 still defeated but not as bad as you thought.

Still to osot Oxfords replacements Sid only one of emergencies played so need to add another for quarter points and if they are lower than 30 then that will be HGA but as you say either way you win.

Round 6 update

Some interesting results this week. New Coach of the Nottingham Hoods really has the team firing scoring the highest score of the season so far. Swaggers record their first win of the season against the luckless Hedgehogs who can not seem to win the close games. Who will stop the Falcons going through the season undefeated maybe the Cruisers who are really showing some form at the moment in Round 10.

This was the Captains curse round as well with a number of Captains performing well below par.

Detailed Results:

Nottingham Hoods 28.12.180 defeated Bradford Badgers 20.13.133
Late changes: David Mackay playing out of position replaced Max Bailey for the Hoods.
Very strong showing from the Hoods here. The hoods did not allow the Badgers to play their usual game and the real surprise here was the margin. The Hoods were extremely strong across the park were well led by their experienced players and had no passengers even though undermanned in the ruck. Badgers were somewhat disappointing especially Captain Trent Cotchin in failing to shut down the run of the Hoods.
Best Players:
Hoods: Chris Masten, Gary Ablett Jnr, Scott Pendleberry, Luke Hodge
Badgers: Andrew Swallow, Dion Prestia, Pearce Hanley,

Swindon Swaggers 21.11.137 defeated Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs 20.14.134
In one of the closest games of the round the Swaggers urged on by their home crowd recorded their fiSwindon Swaggers 21.11.137 defeated Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs 20.14.134rst win of the season against the unlucky Hedgehogs who for the fourth time this season go down by 4 points or less. Hedgehogs task was made all the more difficult with a serious injury to Captain Brent Stanton in the second quarter, Despite the loss of Captain Hedgehogs fought on bravely to take game to the wire.
Best Players:
Swaggers Harry O'Brien, Tom Rockliff, Isaac Smith
Hedgehogs: Dustin Martin, Scott Selwood, Luke Parker

Swansea Breakers 24.14.158 defeated Staines Steins 21.15.141
Late Change Rhys Stanley replaced Ricky Henderson for the Steins
Breakers continued their climb up the ladder with a comfortable win against the Steins. Despite the ease of the win the Breakers defence still looks shaky and needs to improve if they are to win the Premiership.
Best Players
Breakers: Leigh Montagna, Dane Swan, Jeff Garlett, Brent Moloney
Steins: Ryan O'Keefe, Kieran Jack, Nick Riewoldt, Luke McPharlin

Birmingham Bombers 25.11.161 defeated Hastings Hurricanes 24.15.159
Late Changes Stephen Coniglio replaced Stephen Hill for the Hurricanes and Ben Reid oop Position replaced Cyril Rioli for the Bombers.
In another tight games the Bombers managed to hang on against the fast finishing Hurricanes urged on by their home ground.  This was a very quality high scoring game where the Bombers surged to a strong early lead and manged to hold on to it through out. Captain Marc Murphy showed the way for the bombers with undoubtedly his best game of the season.
Best Players:
Bombers: Marc Murphy, Matt Jones, Daniel Wells, Jordan Lewis.
Hurricanes: Patrick Dangerfield, Jarrad Harbrow, Kane Cornes, Brendan Goddard

Newcastle Falcons 24.14.158 defeated Oxford Owls 21.14.140
Late Changes: Mike Pyke oop replaces Easton Wood and from outside the lodgement list Kane Lucas replaces Aaron Davey
Despite a somewhat sloppy performance they were still able to get over a very undermanned Owls side. Who can stop the Falcons even when not on song they can still win.  Late outs cost the Owls any possible chance of upsetting the ladder leaders with some of the lesser stars for the Falcons stepping up.
Best Players
Falcons: Allen Christensen, Jimmy Bartel, Daniel Hanneber, Nick Suban
Owls: James Kelly, Travis Cloke, Sharrod Wellingham, Scott Thompson.

Crosby Cruisers 26.15.171 defeated Grope Lane Giants 19.11.125
In a very one sided match the Cruisers ran riot over the Giants. After a very slow start the Cruisers are building nicely and obviously have their eyes set on the round 10 confrontation with the Falcons.
Best Players:
Cruisers: Steve Johnson, Dale Thomas, Travis Boak, Jarrad McVeigh
Giants:   Garrick Ibbotson, Chris Knights, Brad Ebert, Brock McLean

Huddersfield Hawks 24.13.157 defeated Bilston Bunnies 21.16.142
The Hawks continued on their winning way with a comfortable win over the improving Bunnies. The Hawks will need to address their ruck issue if they are to compete with the Falcons in rivalry round.
Best Players
Hawks: Corey Enright, David Zaharakis, Ryan Bastinac, Mitch Robinson
Bunnies: Clay Smith, Shannon Hurn, Stewart Crameri, Ed Curnow.

Winchester Warewolves 22.10.142 defeated Leeds Leeches 18.10.118
Late Changes: Jack Viney replaced Nathan Van Berlow, Rohan Bail replaced Andrew Carazzo, Sam Dwyer replaced Lenny Haye for the Leeches.
Comfortable win for the Warewolves over the Leeches. Leeches were immediately behind the eight ball with the loss of Lenny Hayes in the warm up coupled with other late replacements.
Best Players:
Warewolves: Ben Cunnington, Michael Hibberd, David Myers
Leeches: Luke Shuey, Mark LeCras, Nick Malceski

Manchester Magic 20.13.133 defeated  Liverpool Lobsters 19.14.128
Late Changes: Sam Reid replaced Bea Waters for Magic and From outside list Firitto replaced Nicholson, Polkinghorne replaced Varcoe and Shaun Grigg Replaced Kieran Harper for Lobsters.
In another close game the Home ground advantage got the Magic over the line against the Lobsters. Had Lobsters lodged a complete team the result would have been different.
Best Players:
Magic: Taylor Adams, Mark Baguley, Jack Darling
Lobsters: Adam Treloar, Mitch Duncan, Michael Walters,

Now to Round 7 and the Rivalry round.

Poetic licence KB Editors right. Bit hard to keep progressive totals across all teams.
