Not terribly Supercoach related, but after another bomber round, how good is football.
Anzac day bombers collingwood was a cracker for three quarters. Freo tigers one point. Ports ridiculous comeback against my mob fkn west coast and today's tie of the hawks 3 point win against north. We really have got the best sport going around in this country...
And probably the most fantasy relevant game with our love of stats. Love it

Hear hear!
Though somebody needs to tell the guys upstairs to stop with all the new rules.

The most popular worldwide sport (soccer) has had something like 10 rule changes in 150 years. It feels like we have that every year!

Time to leave it alone before it gets too confusing.

Great post.

Great game.

Leave the rules alone - but who drives the rule changes? Is it the media or the players / clubs?

I actually think that rule changes will keep the game relevant, looking at all the other sports that are to hung up on tradition to change. I don't agree with all of them but (still hate interchange rule)

Well said. So many great games with tight finishes already this year.

I think some of the rule changes are excessive but on the whole a lot of them are good ideas focussed on player safety - the likes of the concussion rule and latest sliding rule. I know the interpretations can drive people mad but the intent is to look after the players which is never a bad thing.

Soccer has only had 10 rule changes in the last 150 years because it's not half as violent and contact oriented. They have no need to change the rules because ny and large the necessary rules are already in place.
