The Gold Coast SUNS have re-signed 18-year-old Jack Martin for a further five years.

In an unprecedented contract extension, Martin, who was recruited by the GC SUNS with selection one in the 2012 GWS Giants incentive mini draft, will remain with the GC SUNS until at least the end of the 2017 season.

Fantastic news for the Suns!! That's a huge contract extension for a young fella yet to debut for the team! :o

I think the last person i can remember that signed a 5 year contract was Deledio i think.

Yeah Lids signed a five-year contract extension last year.

Kid looks like he's a gun, think its a win for the Suns although there's obviously some risk involved :o

they might have signed him on like 350k a year or w.e for those 5 years... when after his 3rd year he might be worth like 500k :P
