This a cry out to Woosha, give this man his Eagles Debut this weekend against Port.

I put together some information on him below

Mark Hutchings
WAFL Average 2012: 105.95 (89, 140, 66, 112, 143, 144, 116, 95, 107, 73, 89, 105, 107, 134, 80, 112, 98, 61, 92, 156)

WAFL 2012 Centuries: 11/20

Background: Mark Hutchings is a mature aged recruit for the Eagles, who has previously spent a year on St.Kilda's rookie list in 2010 before being delisted. His stocks have risen over the past two years with outstanding form in the WAFL that this year saw him finish runner-up to Kane Mitchell in the Sandover Medal and gain his clubs B&F. Hutchings is also a former WA U18 Captain.

Mark Hutchings was his typical self, gathering 25 disposals and 102 DT for West Perth.

mature-age recruit Mark Hutchings, who had 36 possessions for West Perth.

Hutchings, despite a tight tag, had 28 possessions with a 50-50 split between kicks and handballs, took four marks and laid five tackles. He was again effective around stoppages and continues to press claims for senior selection.

Despite the close attention of Claremont debutante Hugo Breakey, Hutchings accumulated 26 possessions, laid 11 tackles and finished off his work with two goals.

After Saturdays effort against Carlton we need a change in the midfield, For this weeks changes OUT: Cripps, Dalziell and Brennan. IN: Rosa, Hutchings and Waters. That is if Waters is healthy to play.

With Hutchings in the guts surely he will improve our defensive pressure on ball, which is what I believe the eagles are lacking with the likes of Selwood, Shuey and Masten only concentrating on the offensive.

Also It would be perfect timing in fantasy terms if he does make his debut ;)

What do my fellow Eagles supporters think?

l'm a Bombers man myself, but l've been waiting to see how Hutchings goes for a while now

LF

They've already said Hutchings will play this season I don't know when he'll debut tho.
The really need to take the axe out and give guys like Hutchings a go because these are the fringe players that will play their guts out to keep their spot in the team where as the other ones think their spot is just a given.
Rosa will play this weekend
Wellingham is only a week maybe 2 away as he'll play WAFL on the weekend.

They need to drop A.Selwood before anyone else anyway he is too slow, fumbly and not very efficient

elephants

Yes! Well said man. Very keen to see him get a gig.

I want 5+ changes this week. We have just had too many passengers.

I love Gaffy but I am seriously thinking it is worth dropping him to the wafl for a week to try and rediscover some form because at the moment opposition taggers are slaying him and sending his progress backwards.

I agree with Adam Selwoods form, though the only player that can replace his role is either Brennan or McGinnity in my mind.

This may be a bias opinion but I disagree. Gaff has been our only starting wingman that has played this season with Cripps and Embley who are far less damaging (You could say Masten and LeCras also, who have been great but Masten has played more on ball or HF and LeCras more likely to return deep forward when starters return) . With Rosa likely back this weekend, and Wellingham soon it should help Gaff to be freed up and back to his damaging rebounding ways.

Possibly yes but his confidence must be shot at the moment. Woosh won't drop him you can be certain of that but its something I do see the merit in..

Noz

Should of won the Sandover medal ahead of Mitchell, Hutchings is a freak and will be the ideal replacement when the likes of Embley and Kerr retire, opening a spot in the middle.

If you think Barlow is a good mature age player wait until Hutchings debuts.

elephants

Thats what I wanna hear ^^

He gets tagged on a weekly basis in the WAFL yet still seems to rack up 25+ touches a game. I just wanna see him debut!

Despite the fact he's my favourite player I kinda hope Rosa starts sub so Hutchy gets a full game!

Doubt it will happen though :(

kilbluff1985

Think it's stupid starting first gamers as sub you're playing them to see if they can handle AFL level hard to show that in a quater

Having a go at all teams not just West Coast

Agree wholeheartedly with you though mate!

Could get a call up this week to replace Wellingham and could get a few more games since Woosha had said he will rest players.

Embers smashed the wafl last week, he'll almost certainly come back in.
