essendon vs melbourne

i went to the essendon vs melbourne game on the weekend and i thought that we didnt do that good seeing we were playing nearly our full side in against the bottom team with players out and only winning by 40 was a bad effort, whilst melbourne missing alot of easy goals they should of kicked. despite that i thought how good it was to see dempsey up and running and i also liked the look of ryder in the foward.



whats your thought on the game and my comment??

Your comment seems extremely narrow minded. This is Pre-season stuff where the coaching staff get to try out new set plays, players in different positions and help players returning from injury to blow out some cobwebs.

Good to see dempsey up and going though hopefully he'll be able to free up stants from that running half back role. Hille getting through the game is ominous signs for the season proper too. A free paddy ryder is going to cause teams nightmares  ;D ;D

no matter how good essendon play we will only beat them by about 40 odd points we did during the season last year..

were not going to be like geelong and win by 70 points

i also went, and it didnt look like we were taking it so seriously. at quater time melbourne were discussing the board and tactics while the 2 essendon subs were kicking a footy, and matthew knights wasnt even on the ground yet. so yeah, i dont think they tried as hard as they could

I thought it was good to see the boys out there although the only thing that really impressed was the last quarter. Grimes was gunning it in the middle completely tore us apart, looked really god got 130 in SC.

I suppose they've got some good young ones - Scully, Trengove, Grimes. Maybe Brad Green and Aaron Davey.
