Sorry Jukes and others, I forgot to update the teams scores :(

We had better not lost by less than 20 points

So you'd be happy to lose by exactly 20? Not keen for a draw oss?

Round 5 has been completed and some surprising results.

After slow starts to the season we see the Cruisers and the Bunnies just outside the eight on %.

The Falcons continue on their undefeated way so who can stop them. They have seen of the challenge of all the top 8 teams they have faced and are undoubtedly favourites for the competition.  They posted top score for the season against the 4th placed Breakers.

Results:
Hebden Bridgehogs 25.13.163 defeated Bradford Badgers 25.11.161
Late Changes Jared Rivers replaced Paul Duffield for the Hedgehogs,
In a very hard fought contest the Hedgehogs just got over a very determined Badgers outfit. The Hedgehogs suffered an setback with their late replacement Jared Rivers suffering a game ending injury in the first quarter. However Captain Brant Stanton and Dustin Martin lifted to carry the Hedgehogs to victory.  First year player Sam Mayes continued his impressive form for the Badgers.
Best Players:
Hedgehogs: Brent Stanton, Dustin Martin, Scott Selwood, Luke Parker
Badgers: Andrew Swallow, Trent Cotchin, Michael Barlow, Sam Mayes

Nottingham Hoods 26.12.168 defeated Stains Steins 23.14.152
Late Changes Ryan Crowley replaced Shane Tuck for the Staines
Comfortable victory for the Hoods who were well led by Captain Gary Ablett and vice Captain Scott Pendleberry. Despite the home ground advantage and an outstanding effort from Nick Riewoldt the class of the Hoods shone threw in the end.
Best Players
Hoods: Gary Ablett Jnr, Scott Pendleberry, Andrew Walker, Harry Taylor
Steins: Nick Riewoldt, Kieran Jack. Ryan O'Keeffe, Chris Judd

Birmigham Bombers 26.12.178 defeated Swindon Swaggers 21.15.141
Late Changes Jordan Roughead replaced Ayce Cordy for Swaggers
Bombers comfortably defeated the swaggers who were somewhat disappointing with a number of underperforming players whereas some of the lesser stars of the Bombers exploded this week. Captain Tom Rockliff tried hard for the swaggers but was badly let down by his team mates.
Best Players:
Bombers: Hamish Hartlett, Daniel Wells, Jack Ziebell, Marc Murphy
Swaggers: Tom Rockliff, Bradley Hill

Newcastle Falcons 26.13.179 defeated Swansea Breakers 20.15.165
Despite the much anticipated clash of these 2 teams it was virtually over when coaches named Eddie Betts and Sam Docherty as subs.  This was even more evident given the outstanding form of their possible replacements Matthew Deboer and Rory Thompson in the reserves. With Devon Smith producing his best game of the season the Falcons were again able to see off another challenger for the title.  Who can stop this juggernaut.
Best Players:
Falcons: Devon Smith, Jobe Watson, Daniel Hannebery, Jimmy Bartel
Breakers: Steele Sidebottom, Dane Swan, Brent Moloney. Leigh Montagna.

Crosby Cruisers 26.16.172 defeated Hastings Hurricanes 22.16.148
Late change Cam Pederson replaced Jasper Pittard for the Cruisers
In what can only be described as the upset of the Round the Cruisers comfortably defeated the second placed Hurricanes, The cruisers have finally found some form and maybe the team to trouble the falcons in coming weeks. A number of Cruisers who were down on from rose to the occasion to send the Hurricanes packing.  Kade Simpson, Heath Scotland, Jack Reddan and Jed Adcock lifted their game to contribute to the win. The Hurricanes were badly let down by Senior players David Mundy and Patrick Dangerfield.
Best Players:
Cruisers: Steve Johnson, Jarrad McVeigh, Matthew Boyd, Jack Reddan
Hurricanes: Brendan Goddard, Andrew Gaff, Jarrad Harbrow

Huddersfield Hawks 25.17.167 defeated Oxford Owls 23.10.138
Late Changes: Ashton Hams replaced Bob Murphy and Mike Pyke replaced Daniel Giansiracusa for the Owls
With David Zaharakis showing what he is capable of it was a comfortable win for the Hawks over the luckless Owls. The Owls are probably wishing all players played with the same intensity as their Rising star Jaeger O'Meara who was their best player showing up a number of Senior players.
Best Players:
Hawks: David Zaharakis, Sam Mitchell, Josh Kennedy, Mitch Robinson
Owls: Jaeger O'Meara, Jonathan Griffin, Jack Steven, Scott Thompson

Grope Lane Giants 22.15.147 defeated Winchester Warewolves 20.11.131
Giants are celebrating their first win of the season over the unlucky Warewolves. Warewolves chances were hampered early in the first quarter when vice captain Matt Priddis suffered a game ending injury, Bryce Gibbs succumbing to injury at half time and coach naming Jackson Macrae as sub. Despite the setback the Warewolves with Dayne Zorko regaining form took it to the Giants but were unable to run the game out due to lack of rotations.
Best Players
Giants: Brock McLean, Cameron O'Shea, David Swallow, Matthew Leuenberger
Warewolves: Dayne Zorko, Nathan Fyfe, Michael Hibberd

Bilston Bunnies 19.11.125 defeated Liverpool Lobsters 19.9.123
Late changes there were a number of changes for the Lobsters from outside the emergencies thus only getting 1/4points.  With Captain Harley Bennell not playing Captaincy went to Vice Captain Dyson Heppell. James Polkinghorne replaced Harley Bennell, Sam Wright replaced Travis Varcoe, Michael Walters replaced Kieran Harper and Michael Firritot replaced Graeme Johncock.
Despite a below par performance from some player the Bunnies got home in a very close game but result would have been different if team was named correctly by coach.
Best Players:
Bunnies: Richard Douglas, Tom Bellchambers, Jude Bolton,
Lobsters: Dyson Heppell, Bachar Houli, Clancee Pearce.

Leeds Leeches 25.12.162 defeated Manchester Magic 24.10.154
Late Changes Rohan Bail replaced Nathan Van Berlo and Sam Reid replaced Tom Hawkins for the Leeches.
The Magic appear to have captaincy problems as whenever a captain is relieved of the Captaincy they go out and perform exceptionally well and this is costing the Magic games.  Coach needs to settle on a Captain as a matter of urgency if Magic are to figure in the finals. Leeches depth exposed the Magic as well,
Best Players:
Leeches: Lenny Hayes, Luke Shuey, Charlie Dixon, Andrew Carazzo.
Magic: Callan Ward, Brandon Ellis, Tom Liberatore, Dylan Shiel

Sorry for the delay and awards will be updated within the next half hour.
