Not sure what the worst pick was... Mitchell Thorp was pretty bad...

But Tom Rockliff has to be one of the BEST

He wasn't even selected in the main draft and Lions STOLE him with 2nd last pick in the pre-season draft.

if it was pre season draft, he mightn't have been a steal?

like the lions may have seen something special in him, and said if you nominate for the PSD at X salary we'll pay it and draft you. And the other clubs were like- da flower, who's this kid, why would we pay X amount for him?

He was in the main draft

i.e. he was available for 80+ picks in the standard national draft and was overlooked.

Was pretty handy at Lions in the premiership years but when traded just couldn't gel with his new team.

Was an important player in the premiership and the Lions were not happy to let him go. His body let him down a fair bit at the Dockers but when he was fit he was a gun. Had some big games for them from memory.

I think Freo's is very harsh. We never got to see Pitt's full potential. We've had a lot worse picks than that in our history
