You could always downgrade Moloney to Wines and make over 100k but I think its a bit of a luxury trade. Also gotta remember that being a rookie he's more prone to inconsistent games compared to Moloney, who you could probably guarantee a regular 85+ average.

You sound like you need to activate the free trial of Assistant Coach on Dream Team. It does price projections for you and would've clearly shown you that Wines would make more money than Moloney - while yes, sometimes even scoring better.

Should have definitely had him but with -61 BE and GC this week you could still bring him in. Plus his 126 from last week will stay in his rolling average for another two weeks.
