We have got theough our first test. beat our bogey side in carlton and won the 2 we had ti against the saints and the bulldogs. We're about to see what Richmond are really made of. our next month of footy sees up up against:

Collingwood @mcg
Fremantle @subiaco
Geelong @mcg
Port @aami

First 3 are as bigger test as you could ask for and port at aami you would have penciled in before the season started but they are looking the goods and high in confidence.

Can we win a couple of these, all of these or none? If we can get just 2 of them we are set to make a run at the finals.
I think the first 2 are going to be very tough. Reckon we can get the cats and port though which would see us 5-2 with Melbourne the following week. If we beat collingwood this week ill be stoked. If we beat freo the week after ill blow the lid off and start talking finals!

I reckon we can beat the Catters and Port at AAMI, even as an optimist I'd say that two wins in the coming fortnight are unlikely. Just thing the Pies will be a bit too strong and keen to avenge the loss against the Hawks. Also, Freo are looking like they'll be top 4 this season and we're gonna be in big trouble over there in the west.

Will the Pies be low on confidence this weekend? After an absolute shelacking by Hawthorn? ???

I'd love to see us give them a run for their money, will be a huge test for our midfield this weekend... The up-and-coming superstar midfield vs the seasoned guns of Collingwood... Can't wait to see the battle!

I think we can at least push, if not beat these sides, providing one thing: our forwards kick straight! Has been a problem so far this season... Too many behinds, not enough goals - could've absolutely romped WBD (by even more :P) if we had kicked a bit straighter. We can't afford to not kick straight against these sides, that's for sure.

I'm optimistic we can come away with a couple of wins tbh... We pushed all of these sides last year to within 20 points if i recall correctly, we have confidence from the start of the season, can't wait to see how we go.

If anything I would expect a side of the Pies calibre to be really fired up :-\

Should be a cracking game all the same ;D

Really looking forward to the game against the Pies, it's going to be massive. Hopefully we can put in a good performance.

One concern I have is the form of Coburg, I watched them against Williamstown and they were woeful. There was hardly any tackling and I would say that the only player worthy of providing backup was Nahas, while Stephenson was good I doubt he could shoulder the ruck in a worst case scenario. McBean got a few goals but would be no chance against any hardened AFL fullback.

These next 4 games will be the make or break point in our season and I agree that if we win at least 2 of them then finals will be very much on the radar. However if we lose all of them then even Melbourne will be difficult to beat after that. Now before you say that I am being ridiculous about Melbourne I'd like to point out that by round 8 it is entirely possible for them to have a huge turnaround in form and they will be very hungry.

An "Honorable Loss" is not enough we need results.

The possibility of no pendlebury would go a long way towards the tigers winning. They should dominate collingwoods midfield if its missing ball, pendles and beams

TeeJay

I'm hearing Reid only 50/50 to play to.
If he and pendlebury miss then the tigers will get up

From what I've heard Reid is a certainty to play this week.
Pendles will also line up I reckon.

Not as certain as you may think. This is from people I know at the club

Cicjose

If Richmond win this week they should be very short priced favourites to knock of Fremantle in 2 weeks

Okay fair enough. Would be good for the Tigers if they weren't playing as they're important players, but personally I see them both playing.

Go ahead Collingwood, risk your star forward doing further damage to his thumb!  ;)
