my team's flowered already, so I think I'm going to take the plunge :P
Lol me too, amen to that brother  :P. Even just for the cash, bloody annoyed that karnezis was dropped, meant I couldn't trade zorko. Kommer to crouch and zorko to hoff this week then varcoe to mayes/lee and suban to wright next week. Should hopefully rid my team of the spuds I should never have started with. It's a rebuild lol hopefully we'll come back and do some damage in the leagues.

I think at this point we should all be in agreement that Westy, the Hoff or Westhoff is an absolute gun (seriously so far 130+ average and highest scoring dt player)!!! :) But he isn't a premium unless he can carry out a 95+ average for the entire season. Now how does that sound to everyone? ;)

Zombie2.5

He has been gunning it, but the ship has sailed, no point really getting on now. I'm sure he'll eventually pumpkin up, but well done to those who picked him up, enjoy the price rises.

He will be the most expensive forward!

Although, he has only vsed Melbourne, GWS and Crows. (I've noticed he always steps up and does well in showdowns and spuds up in other games for some reason). He still has Gold Coast to come next week, so maybe another huge score on the cards, before he pumpkins up again.

Couldn't sum it up better. I think JJk could also be considered but Westhoff is now $465k... How are you going to get him everyone listen to Zombie 2.5

I think if you don't have any major problems to solve in your team (like kreuzer) you would have to consider trading in the Hof.
Zorks is leaking $$ and the Hof will make you plenty!
You have 2 trades a week. Use them!

And you never know. He might be the Lake of a few years back and have one great season ;)

The ship hasn't sailed, he has a BE of -20. If he gets his predicted score of 109 against Gold Coast he will go up another 55k. Then he would have a BE of 50odd so if he does spud up the next week he shouldn't drop in price.

Exactly, Im going to keep him for another 2 weeks. If he score reasonable against WC I'll probably end up keeping him for a while, and look to upgrade aroundhim . If he doesnt fire I'll trade him to Buddy who should be ripe for the picking, just before he comes up against GC, Melb and GWS

With a BE of -20 he is definitely making money. He's playing GCS so it's unlikely he spuds up.
With 2 trades a week it's very viable to bring him in for the short-term.

I say he'll make money for at least two-three weeks, after which I will straight swap to Franklin ahead of his easy run.

There's a bit of bloody sense on the matter! Now, if we can all remember that we have 2 trades a week to play with, it really doesn't matter who the player is - if they're going to make $100k in two weeks they're not just "worth the punt," they're actually a must have.

People who brought Westhoff in last week will be ahead of the comp in terms of cash making, while still scoring awesome points. It's actually quite low risk when you consider the amount of trades available.

Got him in for Zorks last week.
Gained 122K + 89 points. Big win in my books!!!! ;D
And still on a BE of -24

Did the same and am loving it.

Westhoff is not a keeper for me but after this week and another good score against Gold Coast there is the possibility of an almost straight swap for Buddy or Daisy or Stevie J in the near future

As long as he's scoring well/looks like making cash I'll probably keep him until I can make the move. Stevie J's new pure mid role looks delicious in terms of points-scoring when the Cats have an easier run.

haha if you already have him good on you :) Everyone else who is bringing him in now is pissing away $70K, who gives a shower about the cash, it's is most likely Hoffy and JJK won't be keepers and just cash cows. I've missed out on both of them so I'm just going to go Zorko -> Stevie J and have a safe choice who I'm 99.99% sure will average 10-20 points higher than the both of them by the end of the season

I've read through the thread and the Westhoff -> get cash trade is pretty good. But I just don't want him, I'll get attached if he scores well because there's no point in trading him out and he will eventually spud and lose his worth. Idk what I'm going to do yet  :-\ either way has it advantages I just don't want to get someone if I've lost $70k of potential already but the fact Stevie J has only player 1 game and isn't on the bubble makes it seem like there is nothing to lose

Why are we pissing away cash? He has a -BE and plays an easy team this week. If he goes 100+ he makes another 50k.

I'm going with the Hoff > Stevie J. For the next few weeks only. I want to make the cash from Zorks back. I will then go Hoff to whoever is scoring better out of Stevie J & Buddy
