his head goes back long before the contact comes, sure it is clever and i never said the umpire was wrong did I?

but lifting your arm throwing your head back and ducking is simply playing for a free kick.

it should be cheating. the afl realises it is an issue and no longer is supposed to award free kicks to people who duck their heads into a tackle, so how is this any different?

i never said it wasnt a free kick - i said it was deliberately played for and THAT i say is poor quality football.
