Making some threads for the future :)  By the time they come round, you may have to go looking for them!

To avoid controversy, teams can be accepted for the round for membership points purposes ON the hour after the last game of the round finishes (i.e. if the last game finishes at 5:45pm, teams can be accepted from 6:00pm --> Will use fanfooty clock).

Round 8
(AFL Round 8 )

Cape Town Cobras       v       Seoul Magpies       Newlands Cricket Ground
London Royals       v       New Delhi Tigers       Old Trafford
Berlin Brewers       v       Cairo Sands       Olympic Stadium, Berlin
Moscow Spetsnaz       v       Beijing Bears       Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow
Toronto Wolves       v       Tokyo Samurai       Rogers Centre, Toronto
Wellington Warriors       v       Dublin Destroyers       The Basin Reserve
Buenos Aires Armadillos       v       Paris Nice Lyon Reindeers       Estadio de River
Sao Paulo Pumas       v       New York Revolution       Estádio do Pumas
Pacific Islanders       v       Mexico City Suns       BSP Stadium

Highlights:
The Cape Town Cobras are on a high! 6 wins in a row, thrillers going there way, and sitting 3rd on the table. But, every game is a danger game, and Seoul are just the kind of team to pull a bit of Dangerfield magic. The Cobras consistency should see them through.

The Royals will look to get back on the winners list, after a couple of disappointing weeks, but New Delhi have improved of late. Royals should win.

Cairo are out of the 8 on percentage, the Brewers a game out in 10th place. I don't think there are room for both in the top 8! Cairo have tremendous depth, but haven't translated that into monster scores, while Berlin's players have lost its direction and need a win desperately.

Beijing and Moscow go head to head for the first time since Moscow's defeat of Beijing in last year's elimination final. A lot has changed since though! Moscow are still in the mix, but have a new coach, while Beijing are winless and have changed coaches twice!

An interesting game as Toronto and Tokyo go head to head. The Wolves have the form, and should win, but the Samurai are a team that can beat anybody if things go wrong. Wolves for me.

Dublin are finally hitting the form we all know they are capable of, and should register a 3rd win a row and best last season's results. The Warriors would fancy themselves a chance though if things go right, as they look for a 3rd win.

Things don't get much easier for the poor old Reindeers, as they have had a monster of a draw and injuries. The Armadillos are focused on a top 2 spot, and can't afford to drop this match.

The Pumas dropped a rare game last week, and New York have the capacity to beat them. A potential big game for both! But Sao Paulo have never lost 2 in a row, I don't think they will start now.

The Islanders face off against the might of Mexico City. And the might will win.

Porplyzia and Smith first to be cut. Could be some more casualties later in the week after such a poor effort against the Cobras >:(

Assuming that Dempsey comes back, hopefully he does. the backline has been looking really good but the midfield and forward line letting us down badly. Hoping MPM continues with his amazing form -- averaging 95! Would probably be doing pretty well in the B&F right now. :o

Sylvia a very naughty boy, and jeez you're on thin ice Hawkins! Gwilt comes in after scoring 120 last week and averaging 95 since his return this year. And f*cking Dale Thomas! Just as he hit form  ::)

Could be a really, really tough one against Seoul this week! Definietly not my best lineup out there...

Toronto Wolves Rd 8

Emg: Jamie MacMillan, Ashley McGrath, Michael Jamison

IN: Paddy Ryder, Nathan Grima
OUT: Ash McGrath, Michael Jamison

Finally some depth returning at the Wolves! Two big name inclusions and actually had to have some selection dilemmas this week.

Harsh on Hickey not to even make emergency list after tonning up, also Hall and Morris go unrewarded due to Ryder and Grima pushing McGrath and Jamo out. McGrath handy emg due to DPP.

Tommy Walsh and possibly Tom Bell back is good news too.

Macrae and Stevens return and our mid depth is looking decent again with Gaff, Stevens, Macrae, Kommer and Arnot all running around for Washington this week.

Schomo/Batch and Croz/Morton up forward do make me nervous, Dempsey will strengthen the backline when he returns but the forward line is just not settled. :-\

Pretty much missing my preferred back four this week (Shaw, Dixon, Clarke, Hardingham) and then Tuck and Treloar. Luckily I'm only playing Beijing ::)
