Berlin Brewers       v       Wellington Warriors       Olympic Stadium, Berlin
Moscow Spetsnaz       v       Toronto Wolves       Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow

Highlights:

Top 4 fancy Cape Town face off against the much improved Dublin - a danger game for the Cobras, and a chance to prove themselves and gain respect for the 2012 Spooners. You know what? I'm gonna tip an upset to Dublin.

Tokyo and PNL are struggling to get on the board this year, and both need this match - Tokyo to keep any hope of finals alive, and PNL to prove they have a team that can occasionally, you know, win. Samurai just.

New York are in a slump and find themselves slightly behind the pack after a brilliant first 4 rounds of the year. A loss to Beiijng would be absolutely devastating, but that's on the cards if the Bears continue to improve. New York by 20.

We are all hoping the Suns fall over themselves at some point. I'm not sure this will be the week as Cairo have been inconsistent this year and are still missing gun recruit Dayne Beams. Suns should coast home here.

This is one of the few genuine chances for victory for both New Delhi and Pacific! Both still very much in calculation for the spoon, Leigh Montagna and Tom Rockliff hold the key in this match.

Can Seoul find some form this year? They are playing like also-rans this year and haven't made a name for themselves. Sao Paulo, on the other hand, can't afford to drop this match if they are to finish top 2. Pumas too strong.

The Royals will need there midfield guns to fire to have any chance against the Armadillos jugger-naught. A loss here for Buenos Aires and suddenly top 4 doesn't look so certain! Buenos Aires should still be too strong.

Berlin simply must win against the Warriors. Non negotiable. But Wellington will fancy themselves a chance! Brewers have too much depth though.

The Wolves and Spetsnaz both fell in Semi Finals last year, this is an 8 point match in every sense! Both teams are well in contention, and could even push for a top 4 spot if things fall there way. Pendlebury. Naitanui. Swallow. Martin. Big names, big game.

Duncan in poor form, so Adams gets another run in the team. Changes may be made later in the week...

*Sighs. We have a few injuries, then our regulars aren't living up to expectations at the moment :(. May be a struggle til we get Pav/Rioli back in :-\.

As usual need everyone to lift apart from our mids... Carlisle going quite well compared to what I expected. Jetta & Dahlhaus still disappointing after improving so much last year.

I thought I was helping the cobras with their push to premisership glory giving them thomas and chaplin. Chaplin has been a flop at richmond so thats annoying and daisy was looking real good and now bascially gone for the season. Sorry cape town.

Jelly will captain against his old squad and should pump out a huge score on port. 133 average agasint them last 2 years.

Giles is out of the team and out of the emergencies after his last effort. Hasn't topped 90 in a month...Not really good enough.
Macrae gets a shot at getting a shot after his effort last week. More performances like that and he'll get a starting role soon.

Team is out of sorts at the moment, really need to get back on the winners list this week.

In Brent Staker, Andrew Moore, Zac Tuohy
Out: Tom Young, Troy Menzell, Jason Winderlich.

Would have preferred to give Staker another game in the reserves but due to the fact that forward form is done and playing the 4th place Armadillos he has to come into the team.  Trusting Brent Stanton to bounce back this week and have kept the captaincy on him.

Alright, so it's bad enough we're having a hard time getting into the 8, then we get three injuries in our weakest line which also has the showertest depth, and on top of all that we're taking on Mexico City this round. Couldn't get much worse...

Oh and just checked the teams, if Petrenko doesn't make the Crows 22 on Sunday we're gonna have a 3 man forward line and an emergency playing OOP.  :'(

/endrant.

Team will be up shortly.
