Hey guys,

Long time reader but first time poster thought I should get involved, this is my team as it sits at the moment before I make my trades.

Trades I am looking at making this week are

Karnezis -> Dwyer
Mitchell -> Moloney

I'm not worried about Docherty scoring a 0 because he is a bench player at the moment, not going to lose any money and the cash grab with these 2 trades I feel is the best I can get. Next week's trades will aim to swap Kommer for Crouch and then sort out Docherty or Hartlett if he doesn't bounce back with a good game.

Any thoughts or feedback would be awesome.

If anybody doesn't get the team name, son I am dissapoint.

It seems solid to me, but get NRoo out soon

Couldn't have a look at the team earlier because tinypic pictures can't load on the school webs, will do now.

Love seeing how Stants is your best mid (so far) while Ablett is your fourth. Who would have predicted that ::)

With that 120k, for your next trade I reckon go Ablett to Moloney (gain of 340k, and in a few weeks you should be able to go Moloney back to Ablett for only about 150k-200k) which leaves you with 460k. With that I reckon upgrade Karnezis to the forward of your choice, Bartel maybe? That'd leave you with approx 210k for the future. You could use this to upgrade Moloney back to Ablett in a couple weeks, or maybe upgrade Fyfe earlier, or whatever.

My current plans have been with players like Swan, Ablett, Goddard, Gibbs etc. to ride out any price changes and leave my cash gaining strategies for my medium premiums and cheaper. So players like Rockliff, no matter what happens at this stage I will just leave him alone but players like Riewoldt I will trade around to gain as much as possible.

Trading Karnezis down to Dwyer will instantly gain me $150k and then turning Mitchell into Moloney will cost me $190k leaving me with just under $80k in the bank, but will earn me almost $100k extra in price rises just this week alone depending on scores.

I have looked at this as better than trading Docherty to Heath for example because while this back line trade won't cost me anything it doesn't have the immediate or long term cash generation of these trades.

My only concern is Hartlett but I am hoping he has a strong showdown so his losses are minimal.

Oh, and while Stanton will have a cracker year this year, it doesn't change the fact that Ablett will still be a top 4 player.  :D

Ok so I have moved up to 325 overall and my year is off to a great start just gotta keep the momentum going. At the completion of round 5 my team sits like this:

DEF: Goddard, Hartlett, Gibbs, Goodes, Terlich, Stevenson - Pittard, Docherty
MID: Stanton, Swan, Ablett, Pendlebury, Fyfe, Wines, Moloney, O'Meara - Mayes, Evans
RUC: Cox, Leuenberger - Rowe, Blicavs
FWD: Westhoff, Riewoldt, Rockliff, Kennedy, Martin, Neade - Dwyer, Macaffer
Cash Remaining: $235,100

My first trade for this week is definitely Westhoff -> Johnson as Westhoff will go back down in value here and in the end that means that I have gotten Johnson into my side for $394k. My second trade is planned to be Blicavs -> Gawn, but depending on my how my rookies end up will potentially be another rookie.

So in short, have a sideways planned and a downgrade. In 2 weeks time will turn Moloney into Priddis once the 4 is out of Priddis' 3 round average and plan to bring in another premium defender next week but at this stage unsure of who.

Moloney --> Watson not interest you at all this week? Or even Stevenson/Pittard --> Heppell?

The Moloney to Watson isn't too interesting because I think at this stage Moloney will go up more than Watson in his next price rise, same deal with Stevenson/Pittard to Heppell. To me there is more value this week in chasing a bubble price rise for big gains than trying to cash in on an extra probably 30 points from rookie to Heppell.

PowerBug

Fair enough, Gawn looks to be scoring alright aswell for R4. I only considered those two players because they have GWS this week and we saw what they did to Melbourne.

Yeah I want to strengthen my backline and Heppell is perfect for it, but if I do a downgrade and a sideways this week bringing in Stevie J and Gawn then I think I will be set to do a Moloney -> Premo and Hopefully Stevenson -> Premo next week. Could definitely afford it if I downgrade Westhoff -> Gray but I am still not 100% sure on Gray for money making.
