Change of role. He has been playing a floating wingman type role with no defensive responsibility where he drifts into defense as a loose man and then drifts forward to kick some goals. He has shown good endurance so far to run both ways, however the 2 games so far have been easy wins for Port against lessor opposition.

Time will tell whether he can still score the same against better opposition and/or when teams specifically assign a man to him.

Ziplock

he scored a 100 against melbourne, who he averages over 100 against in his last 3, and a 150 against gws, where nobody held him accountable and he just ran over the whole field.

basically, really poor teams.

McRooster

Apparently he's been watching tapes of Jimmy Bartel  :P

Yeah but he did all he could do. I think westy will avg atleast 90 this season. He actually looks like he's turned the corner.
Never thought I'd hear myself say that.

Mr.Craig

Westy is now entering Phase 3 of his career and is a good chance to maintain a 20+ disposal count for the rest of the year. Having watched almost every Port game either live or on t.v I honestly believe he is one of the best forwards in the league when he's switched on.

Noz

The fact is his consistency has been his biggest issue over the past he has pumped out some monster scores but than drifts down to a couple of 80s than 70s for a while.

Than again now that we have dropped Redden from the side he may become our back up ruck man for the week and not given as much freedom as he had in the first 2 matches.

Dudge

Everything being said about him, on ALL forums, is he's only played the Demons and GWS, i agree on that. But under a new coach, new game plan, why could'nt it be possible that he ups his average. Theres no way he'll get it as easy against stronger opposition, but maybe the penny has dropped, and his confidence has grown. Just saying, we should give him a chance in the next 3/4 weeks to prove his worth be4 we all say--typical Westy

Doubt he'll be back up ruckman. Renouf is likely to be called in for the role with Cassisi. Gray will sit out another week, Mitchell will get omitted for cassisi. IMO. I think Kenny likes seeing Westy running around unshackled.
