I am also putting zorko out, but for slightly different reason. He will be my 1st and only trade b4 round 3 and I do not have Kennedy in the Fwds ( who also has some weak teams coming up) the 236k will come in handy in about 2 weeks time. I would not cross trade him unless there is a stand out top fwd on offer but I already have buddy, rocky, cox,Martin. Personally unless trading for cash -hold

Dudge

Very difficult decision this one, iv'e dumped him in some comps, but held him in others. And yes, mainly for a cash grab

Ringo

With the season ending injury to Claye Beams it may be prudent to hold onto Zorko.  Zorko may revert back to the midfield and start producing what he is capable of.

@Ringo: do you reckon he's carrying something a bit more than a niggle? Both have cooled their heels a bit in the fwd line already.
Side note: Jack R has been very disappointing to date

Reported as groin soreness which covers a multitude of sins. Zorko was always going to play forward this season as he was training with forward group pre-season and with the acquisition of Moloney this was forced.  Beams injury as I said may now change this.
Redden has been the one to chiefly suffer from Moloneys arrival with Moloney really doing the grunt work that Redden used to do last year.

Ringo will Simon black returning counter the claye beams injury?

Ringo

Not really imo as Voss has declared he will be managing Black this year and will be subbed a number of times.

jackel82

very interesting. Surely black will be on the pill when he gets back. I recon Im going to trade zorko to the cliff. I thought zorko played pretty well last week with the oppitunitys he got while playing fwd, but still lowish scores.

Rockcliff will continue to be on the ball more then zorks by the sounds of it, so I think the trade may not be a bad idea. But there is good arguments either way. If you havent had to use a trade yet Id say go for it. If you already made 2 trades last week and have 2 in mind for this week id say leave it.

Zorko trade is interesting - Look at his next 3 oponents and you'll see that these teams last year produced his lowest scores...

Zorko could be 2013 Dustin Martin - goes missing for entire quarters and being tagged is more likely now that he is seen as a influential player.

Just my opinion but a trade seems valid... but to who - is there a chance that the Hoff will become a relevent fantasy player in 2013?

zorko is a champion i back him to come good.

I beg to differ - one season a champion does not make.

do some research and make a more informed comment  ::)

tor01doc

One season - can't use champion yet - if ever.

Colliwobblers

I don't think you did any research, still you are entitled to your opinion however incorrect it may be.

Lions obviously agree with me promoting him to the leadership group after that "one" season.

based purely on the fact he is a champion, not on his fantasy value i can only assume.  Still i see champion in him in fantasy also.

but THAT is just my opinion

You can look at statistics and while they provide value you need to examine them.

Gold Coast 115 - Would take that any day.
North Melbourne - 83 - Forward tag on Firrito - Used as forward that game
Melbourne - 85 Copped a heavy knock in 2nd quarter which resulted in him spending a fair bit of time forward.

If Zorko is continued to be named at half forward then I think there is a risk that SC scores may suffer.  However if he reverts to mid field following Beams injury I would stay on him.

Remember he had no pre-season at all last year whereas he has had a full pre-season this year.  And as Colli has said elevated to leadership group so he has the talent.

I will be watching todays team announcement with interest.

Your opinion is valid - as always - however my issue is with the use of 'champion'.

Elevation to leadership does not make one a champion.

Nick Duigan is in a leadership group.  :P
