I have a midfield of ablett, swan, pendlebury, fyfe, dangerfield, and the rest the usual rookie, dangerfield is getting the sack just wondering a few thoughts on who out of these would you get in, the obvious choice is watson but with essendon playing freo ud think crowley would do a good job on, i was leaning towards selwood but swallow is having a very good year and is due for a big price rise, any thoughts would be great cheers.

Watson seemed to learn the knack of crowley in the second half of last years clash. I watched this game very closely and he was about 31 at half time, got to about 60 by 3qtr time and broke free to finish on 101. Jobe is the kind of player like a swan, gaj or selwood that can break a tag through their ability to out-muscle and out-run

I'd go to Watson if you can afford it. He looks like a must have this season (probably top 4 mids) and everyone will be trying to figure out ways to bring him in during the next month or two. Pretty much untagable as well, so I wouldn't worry too much about his match up.

Why does Danger have to go? His poor first round score will only affect one price change and his has the ability to score very high.

Dangerfield has a BE of 161 and a price drop of $28000 the other 3 have gettable BE's swallow has a BE of 53 and a projected price rise of $23000, so with so many trades I was thinking of getting rid of danger so I don't drop 20k and pick someone up who at the moment is playing better and is going up in price

Yeh but danger will only drop this round if he scores 100+.
If he goes 100 this week and next he will drop but then he will start to rise.
He has a great ceiling and ability to score very well. I don't think its worth it

Would you trade out Swan, Boyd, Gaj, Cotchin, Selwood, Rockliff etc. just because they were going to drop price? With premiums the price doesn't matter because you select them with the intention to keep them, otherwise you wouldn't spend so much cash. If your going to upgrade anyone upgrade Fyfe because at least trading a semi-premium to a premium is slightly (still not fully after 2 rounds...) justified, but no way a premium to another premium and what if Watson scores a 70 this week and Danger scores a 130 I bet you would go right back on your word.. you disloyal flower haaha  ;)

and I mean flower as a substitute for the F word btw

Dangerfield isn't in the same league as swan, Ablett ect in my eyes so he isn't a keeper, I'm planning on getting in Boyd when he comes back the money side of things is just a bonus . At this stage I don't think danger can score as much as the others if I trade him and then he scored well which could happen with any player then shower happens

On that logic you should never have selected Danger. If you must trade him (and I'm 100% not) then I'd get Watson. Selwood tends to miss a few games and Swallow is not doing anything new, he's always had a big ceiling but can be heavily tagged and  drop under 90 more often than you'd like in a premium.

danger to watson is a good trade, this year sideways trading premos can be useful, id do it.

Jobe, can't see him putting up bad numbers all year.  8)

I don't think he'll score 100 every game mate, I'm predicting one maybe two 80-100 scores, he should be consistent but I still wouldn't consider him a Swan, he's still a goose
