Good win that is, that'll make a few sit up and pay attention.

OK A few observations after last night still a little hoarse at the moment.

I really doubted the inclusion of McCarthy over Squizzy or Bundy but was a masterstroke. The rforward pressure exrted by both Cameron and McCarthy was really outstanding.
Neale has fitted in seamlessly and Berry and McCluggage were following him all night and really showed what they are capable off.
Really pleasing the way this team fought back after the first quarter. With that deficit previously would have been the end of the night well done. Our ball movement really improved from half way through the second quarter with targets being found.
The big improvement in my opinion this year was the tackling - last year so many tackles were missed or broken but last our tackling was the best I had seen in a few years.
Still undecided on the 6.6.6. structure as we are so far the only team to break 100 and thouat was by courtesy of a 50metre penalty.  Is it effecting ruckman as Stef seemed to struggle around the ground as well.
Great to see the crowd get involved and the roar at full time was something to behold.
Great start to the season and encouraging signs need to keep it up next week  and serve Kangaroo Stew,

Brissie played the match on their terms so credit to them for that. I've got a list of about 10 things we did extremely poorly though, premiership hangover for sure and GWS and Collingwood before a round 4 derby ::)

Yeah pretty much this

Not taking anything away from Brisbane, they were very good and I know this might sound weird but I was glad we lost

After 1/4 time blind Freddy could see that our attitude was clearly "we'll just win this without trying / premiership hangover" but I'm hoping this kick in the ass reminds the boys that you can't take any team for granted and you can't just think you can rock up and win without trying, and I expect our season to start next week

Agree with this guys - Did not want to say in my post for fear of offending.  Showed one of our weaknesses though again with three of the 6 goals in red zone which happened a lot last year.
Real test this week now with Roos coming of a belting.

In the past we would have lost that game every single time. To come out 20pt winners after having played terrible for probably 2.5 quarters, shows how much the team has improved. Bring on Port next week!

Going to be a massive game I reckon.

Glad you enjoyed. Taken 12 months but seem to have got the game plan right. Still not getting excited yet as 2010 sticks in my mind won the first 4 and then only 3 of the next 18.  This team does look a lot better though.  Hope McCarhy keeps fit as he will be the buy of the season.

Lets go boys, huge game tonight.
