My thoughts exactly Strikes

Spoke to him at the fan day and he really wants to give something this year,  Realises he has to pay a price and hopes to let his footy do the talking.  Fagan has wiped the slate clean so up to him to earn respect and contract renewal.  Contract expires end of this season.

Did you get any vibe out of him for sticking around or finding a new club for 2018 ?

Ringo

No real vibe Strikes but as you say with house finished and bub on way could be the clinchers to stay. He said he likes the Lions and we will be on the way up over the next 2 seasons so maybe that could be an indication as well.

Personally think anything more than 3 wins this season will be a win as a lot of the sides around us eg Carlton are similarly placed in their rebuild. can not see too many teams falling as well.

Thanks Ringo. Can only see Carlton challenging us for the spoon

This is extremely concerning.

Firstly why allow concerts if they are going to prejudice events at the Gabba for 6 weeks later. Surely the should have laid down the conditions that the area of the pitches should be subject to a raised stage or similar with noting on the ground to damage the pitch.

The main concern I have is if SQ agree to Cricket Australias request we would have to reassign our first 2 home games. A lot of us would have planned our winter based on home games.

The other thing it will be some 11 weeks after the last home and away game before the Test so surely this is sufficient time to sort out given there are saying 6 weeks required now to take root.

The Women are not as heavy as men and will not effect the ground as much so their final should also be played at the Gabba where they could expect a crowd of 15/20k.

Hard to say. I was expecting him to be dropped last week, but he was pretty good against the Saints. Will be interesting to see what happens when Bundy and Clugg return.

Was surprised but then Bastinac replied to his axing by being best on field in NEAFL demanding a recall. Barrett was going well though so hence the surprise. Will be interesting to see who makes the final cut later today. It is interesting that we have listed Cedric Cox on field with both Berry and Claye Beams on the extended bench and to many options to try and guess the three to be omitted as a case can be made for all 6 to play.
Think GL means beastmode rather than Clugg who is playing this week  ;) Bundy may play NEAFL this week so not far away and Beastmode is listed as 2 weeks.

Yep posted that in injury. Could result in Barrett returning or dare I say it Harwood as a small forward the role he has been filling in NEAFL and kicking goals.

Toga

God damn ::) Poor bugger hopefully he can come back and kill it next year. At his best he's got so much class to add to the Brissy side.

What are Barrett's chance of getting back in side thought his last game stat wise anyway was ok who has to perform to keep him out of team ?

100%. Brisbane will keep losing and hence keep making changes, Barret will keep racking up massive numbers in the NEAFL. Cant deny him for long. They arent GWS :P

Ringo

Needs to keep performing in NEAFL to keep pressure on.

This year Fagan has something that Leppa did not in that we have a reasonably healthy list and players firing in NEAFL putting pressure on for positions.

If Dawson, Berry, Basti, Keays, Harwood or Cox drop form he may get a call up. Compounding the situation is Matthieson is just about ready to go as well and Paporone has had a game in back as well.

I have Barrett and seriously considering ditching him in the next week or two because of depth. Thought he may have come back as ;ate replacement for Gardiner but Keays used,
