Frees up $245,300 for next week.

This can be added to Blicavs and Mayes for Grimley and $795000 for a final forward like NRoo, Bartel, Roughy or Dusty with about $250000 left for the following week.

By then another cash cow can go for another premium defender which leaves the team as

Gibbs / Goddard / Hartlett / Hanley / Goodes / WHOEVER - Thurlow / Terlich

Ablett / Pendles / JPK / Selwood / Priddis / Cotchin / Mundy - Mitchell / Hrovat

Jacobs / Cox - Nicholls / Grimley

SJ / Walker / NicNat / Buddy / Zorko / WHOEVER - Staker / Lamb


Also B Kennedy and Mayes are kicking around at the moment.

I think that leaves one trade but might see the team into 4 / 5 finals series which is a big improvement.

With so few trades left and Goodes out and Vlastuin a possible late withdrawal how about those 2 out for Gibbs and Mitch Clisby?

Cons are we sit on Birchall during his LTI's and Clisby is a week early.

Pro's are we gain a proven premium in Birchall if he gets up for finals and if he doesnt he wont loose any money and can trade him. It still leaves us with 223k for next week and Clisby although a week early is obviously a new coach favourite and showed some form in a Melbourne side that will see lots of the ball in defence.

Am worried that Birchall won't be up to speed when he gets back.

Also, looking at match ups this week, having $400000 on the bench could cost Zoe a finals berth.

Goodes is only a week isn't he??  :o

Predicted to win 3/5 but if Vlastuin has another shocker we could win all 5.

Finals looking likely in at least 3 leagues I think.

Look like winning 5/5 this week.

This week 15/1675 so far.

After sitting near bottom of 4 leagues the team is looking like reaching finals in all 5 leagues.

Obviously need another defender and another forward and prob keep Birchall now as a good POD.

Any suggestions welcome.

Maybe Thurlow to Oxley to DPP with Staker moving Staker back to cover till Birchill returns and Bennedy to a forward we can afford possibly Bartel, Roughie or similar

We can afford anyone - but who.

Short list of defenders - Shaw / Ibbottson / Heppell etc

Short list of forwards - Martin / Tippett / Bartel / Roughead etc.

The other option is to get rid of Jacobs - grrrrr.
