The Team That FF Built 2223
tabs 2224

WINNER!!!!!!

The FF Team - overall rank 59,785. Still ahead, tabs? I hope so!

Think we must lose Mitchell for Crouch, and Karnezis for Sinclair. Both moves save and make money ...

Zorko and Tex are losing bucks, but that happens with second year players and kpfs.

Hey guys so an ok week for the FF team this week, we came out victors in 2/5 of our leagues. Scored 2223, round pos of 20,705(probably unlucky to only win 2 with a round position like this) for an overall of 59,785

Here's what happened

Thoughts?

Nice work there! esp with Cox for Capt!!
Glad im not the only one with Brown (12 that hurt). I'd be trading Smith for Leuen and Zorko for Monfries (save/making money and decent points!)
who would have guessed Kommer... might be out for a week though.
Again well done :)

I thought that i was gone but scraped through.

If we are still chasing the money then i think Crouch in for Mitchell (who apparently has been put back on the rookie list) and Sincalir in for Karnezis. That should make us an extra 80-100K more next week

tor01doc

Smith is not worth keeping and Leue is the obvious big IN this round.

Jacobs - solid. Blicavs and Rowe - $$$$!  :)

Back rookies are fine - yes even Brown!  ::)

Mitchell should be looking over his shoulder as Crouchy selects himself?

The 2 Brisbane boys might count themselves lucky to survive given their scoring thus far but maybe Karnezis will miss again so can wait a week.

Zorko!  :( What to do? What to do?

Keep going Crouchy.

I have been waiting to be for someone to suggest crouchy again lol it killed me when i had to trade him out pre round one!.

Luey has to be a lock, i can't think of a single reason not to get him.

Zorko is deff under performing. I might look into some BE and upcoming draw for him, Mitchell, Crouch, Smith and Luey to share with you guys so we can make an educated decision

So here's my thought on the players we are considering

<----------- B.Crouch, I'll try leave my bias at home on this one so here is the facts. $115,900 midfielder on the bubble with a -66 BE.
The crows are disappointed in their opening 3 rounds and are looking to make some cuts but i don't think young Crouch will be one of them. Averaging 67.5 has avoided all vests so far (touch wood) and has Dogs, Carlton and Hawthorn in his next 3 so a bit of a mixed bag.

K.Mitchell, The Sandover medal winner from last year has worn the vest so much its hard to know there is a port guernsey underneath it. started at $126,200 has actually lost $5,200 to only be worth $121K. Has a BE of 22 which we would all love to say he will get but you never know. With Nick Salter returning soon how long til he is back on the rookie list? has GC, WCE and North as his next 3.

D.Zorko, Last years hero for so many is only averaging 70 in his first 3 rounds. he has lost a whopping $46,900 and still has a BE of 143. The big difference this year seems to be the attention he is getting from the opposition and reduced midfield time. Has North, Melb and Sydney as next 3.

Z.Smith, We took a punt on the mid price ruck hoping he would pay off and so far have been unsuccessful. Averaging 59 most of his thunder seems to have been stolen by Dixon, however he is under an injury cloud and may be what Smith needs to find his form again. Smith has lost us $18,900 to make him worth $356,100 but has an easy draw of Port, GWS, Freo and Melbourne coming up.

M.Leuenberger, Returning from a serious achillies injury and some soreness in round one puts the Lions big man on the bubble this week. Worth $301,100 and a BE of -15 with an average of 97 so far will make him one of the most traded in players this week.
Has North, Melb and sydney in his next 3

B.Crouch: I think you should get him, he is going ok and going to increase in price, some good games coming up which he should score some nice amount of points.

K.Mithchell: He has be put back on the rookie list, trade him out or keep for Cpt loophole (IMHO trade him now)

Z.Smith: B/E: 94 set to lose another 13k, form dropping, even with Dixon out for one week, i dont think its enough to hold onto him, Trade him for Leunberg Train!

M.Leuenberger: Lock in! Price set to rise 40k this week and a B/E: -25, followed by 33 so another price rise of 55k. Playing some good footy which should get even better as the rounds go on.

Crouchy182

Alright so taking everyones opinions into account, these seem the most logical trades to me.

Mitchell to Crouch, Mitchell is back on the rookie list and Crouchy is on the bubble feels like a no brainer.

Then it came down to one of 2 trades.

Z.Smith to Luey or Karnezis to Sinclair. Both make a little bit of money and both trade to a player on the bubble in the current team. In the end i have chosen to go with Leuy because if he continues his form he will be a keeper we have picked up for $300k rather than Sinclair who will eventually have to be traded. Also it's reasonable to assume a price increase of $200k for both players making the rookie selection less appealing.

In making this choice i realise Karnezis will still be a problem in the team we will need to address but who knows maybe being dropped for a week was what he needed.

This is how i see the team this week(open to discussion)

Reasoning behind a few of the choices are; Kommer is our best loophole player this week with Franklin, Mundy and Cotchin playing infront of him, i went with Cotchin. Went the double emergency in the mids as Kommer needs cover and if one of Pendles or Ablett is a late exclusion i dont want a donut as i feel our rucks are safe to play. I WILL NEED SOMEONE TO MAKE THE CAPTAIN SWITCH IF COTCHIN FAILS i will be fishing this saturday in a corner of the earth with no phone reception. Anyone who can manage the team for the week please let me know!

So team selection, emergencies etc. Discuss!

All sound, Crouchy!

Cheers Buddy, I've handed the reins over to Tor01doc for the weekend. Hopefully we can have another good week and climb that ladder a bit.

You are aware that you will get whoever scores the lowest out of Jaeger and Crouch on your field as you have them both emergency?

Yes this is the unfortunate side of it but as im hoping they will score similarly i think its better than the possibility of taking a donut from a late withdrawal when we know some of our prems are in doubt

With the rolling lockout cant we just sub Ablett or Pendles out if they are in fact a late withdrawal?
